The room was silent as we all sat down, waiting for everyone to be present before the meeting commenced. I had never been in a board meeting with the board here in Murphy Holdings before, and though they were all aware that I was here based on the decision my father made prior to his passing, they still stared at me with the air of dislike.

I believed most of them thought me to be incompetent, and I wasn't in a hurry to prove them wrong. I just needed to ensure that all was working smoothing before I handed the company to someone more deserving and went back to my own affairs.
