Chapter 43: Dinner with the parents

“Why do you call Damon Boss?” Jane asked. Keddrick smiled at her. “Damon is sort of my boss. He's one of the most powerful vampires of our kind, one of the strongest and with a very powerful claim. He also saved me a long time ago. I was lost to bloodlust and he stayed with me for weeks, making sure I was alright. He has the most self-control I have ever seen. He didn't even know me then. So I vowed my life to him.” Keddrick explained and we all stared at Damon.

Damon shrugged and beckoned Logan over, who walked to Damon with a scowl on his face.

I took my spot opposite of Jane and we smiled at each other, ready to finally have an equal opponent. She came at me with a yell with her hands up and I started laughing. I ducked and tried to get her to trip with my leg. She quickly jumped over and grabbed my arm. With my other arm, I lashed out and hit her in her side. “Hey!” she yelled and she kicked her leg out, trying to hit my side. I ducked out the way, releasing my hand which was lock
