Chapter 27

Adrenaline pumping my heart makes me wake up faster. So is the pain that follows even though right now I can barely feel my legs. My gaze was still fixed on the iron, only inches from my head. Drops of blood fell on my hair and face.

Greg's blood.

My lips trembled violently as I called his name. But no sound came out of me, no sound inside my head other than a loud buzzing sound. Hot tears rolled down my cheeks quickly, making my vision a little blurry. A drop of viscous liquid fell down my cheek mixed with my tears.

Blood belongs to ... Greg.

If Greg hadn't thrown himself in front of me, the piece of metal would have pierced my head by now. But Greg gave himself for me, and now he died for me.

The pain, trauma and shock left me unable to breathe and slowly my consciousness began to fade.
