Chapter Eighteen - So many times, a simple meal might change everything...
Entering the house in the evening, Liza was surprised to see Tom in the house. Not just in the house, but in the kitchen, cooking something on the stove.
Inhaling deeply, she smiled. “What do we have here?” She asked with a laugh and Tom turned with a boyish smile on his face.
“Hmm, nothing much. Just decided to make us a simple meal of pasta for dinner.” He told her.
“Sounds fun. Can I help?” She asked.
“No! This is on me. I want to do this for us. Just take yourself to the bedroom and have a shower. The table should be set before you’re out.” He told her with a kiss to her forehead as he pushed her jokingly outta the kitchen.
Laughing joyfully, Liza took a run up the stairs. What a welcome surprise!
Since their discussion on marriage, Tom has changed for good and she couldn’t help but thank the Heavens.

And now, here she is, waiting for a nurse to lead her to Liza’s private room.
