She laughed so hard until Mike grew red in the face.

‘Though I had meant it as a joke, does Liza really think I’m a dog? Cute but still a dog? Mike wondered with a frown as Liza continued laughing.

“When you are done laughing at my expense, maybe we can finish up this meal so I can work.” Mike told her.

Seeing that Mike was not finding any humour in the situation, Liza quickly straightened her shoulders while wiping her face of expression.

Trying to keep a straight face, she looked to Mike’s shoulder instead of his face, as if scared that if she so much looked at his face, she would go into laughter spasms.

Even though Mike had been a bit frustrated with the way Liza was laughing at him, he could not help but chuckle when he saw the serious expression she was trying to put on for his sake.
