I finally breathed a sigh of relief when I got a text notification for successful registration on my phone. I would be gone in three days.

I swore to make them both pay a price in this life.

My body temperature was so high that it felt like I was boiling. My sweat drenched my pajamas and made them stick to my skin.

I simply turned off the air conditioning and went out with my phone. I stood under the blazing sun and sneered.

Wendy Little was not the only one who could bask in the sun.

“Dear, why are you standing outside?”

Max Little, my boyfriend, carried a large watermelon as he ran toward me anxiously. He looked at me in concern.

It was the first day of Wendy switching her senses with me.

On the very same day during my previous life, I had yet to get a check-up at the hospital. I also did not realize that this was Wendy’s plot.

My so-called nice boyfriend immediately ran to the fruit shop at the entrance of the neighborhood when I claimed that I felt hot. He wanted to buy me a watermelon. He was really good at pretending to be considerate and caring.

Max persuaded me to go inside. “Dear, come home with me now! You’ll get heat stroke if you stand in the sun like this. You can’t stand feeling hot. What’s wrong with you today?”

So, he knew that I could not tolerate hot weather.

When I humbly got down on my knees and begged Wendy and him during my previous life to spare my life, all they did was mock me.

Wendy even secretly took videos of me and put them on the internet. However, no one believed my words, as they found the whole thing bizarre. The netizens labeled me a drama queen.

“Max, your sister said I was a drama queen and rich, so I don’t have to work. All I do is stay at home in an air-conditioned room. So, I took it seriously and came out for some sunlight. It’ll give me some vitamin D.”

Wendy was never nice to me from the moment she got to know me.

I merely repeated what Wendy had secretly said about me to Max on WhatsApp anyway. Max was struck speechless. He stammered, “You… You…”

The commotion attracted the attention of a group of old people who were enjoying the air conditioning in the lobby downstairs.

“Oh, my! Young women nowadays are so dramatic!”

“Hey, Mister! You need to teach your woman a lesson. If your wife doesn’t obey you, you should hit her! It’s a stressful world for young men now. The world has changed!”

“Her boyfriend kindly asked her to go home to stay in the air conditioning. But she’s making a scene! How ungrateful!”

The old men and women were quite harsh as they looked at me. They acted as if I were their daughter-in-law.

I rolled my eyes and ignored them. Besides, I started running on that day when it was 107.6 °F outside. I knew that Wendy could not bear that.

Max’s face was flushed with anger. His fingers trembled as he pointed at me.

“Fine! You must be out of your mind today!” Then, he turned and left.

Sorrow gripped me. It seemed like he was still pretending to be ignorant. I shook my head and stopped thinking about it. Then, I quickened my pace as I ran. Usually, I felt an ache in my belly when I ran quickly, but this time, I felt nothing.

Suddenly, my phone rang. I snorted and answered the video call.

“What are you doing outside, Rachel?!” Wendy panicked and exclaimed in horror.
