Chapter 12: He is Not a Werewolf

Andrella's POV

I opened my mouth to ask about OUR MOMENT but then close it. I shook my head by deciding to go against it

'What if something like that really didn't happen between us?', I thought. I asked another question. "I can't remember the things of last night. Can you explain what had happened? I mean how do we reach here?"

.

"By the time, I returned to you. You were already sleeping by wearing your clothes. I tried to wake you up but you were having a high fever so I just carried you home by picking you up on my back and ran as fast as I could to reach here.", Cade answered my question. All the time, I could see that he was avoiding seeing into my eyes like he always does.

.

I could be only 17 years old but I was not a fool for sure. I knew everything makes me crazy to hear her name being called in the air but only I knew that I had felt that voice every day. And even last night, I had felt whatever had happened. Neither I was hallucinating everything by assuming everything on my own nor I was mad or crazy. I had a gut feeling that everything had to do with something with Cade.

His Voice.

It sounds exactly the same as what I had always heard all my life.

And for the first time in my life, I had no memories of my last night. I knew it had something to do with HIM.

"What happened? Don't you trust my words?", I heard Cade's voice which brought me back from my reality.

I wanted to shout a big NO at his face. I wanted to shout at him for lying to me. I wanted to kick his ass for thinking me stupid

.

"I trust you.", I lied. 'Trust my ass', I thought simultaneously. Something was really different about him and I wouldn't take a rest until I figured it out. "I came here just to talk about plans to visit the spirit world. I hope you don't have to change that plan.",

.

"No. I haven't.", He replied quickly. "I will surely take you there tonight.", He added with a smile. Out of everything which he said until now, I could only find his genuineness in this sentence only.

.

"All right then, see you after dinner, Okay?"

.

"Sounds perfect to me but before leaving do let your family know that you would not be available for the next four days because staying in the spirit world for half an hour is almost equal to five hours in your world."

Your world?

What did he mean by that?

Isn't he from the same world?

Most importantly how did he know about that?

.

"How do you know about it?", I asked, raising my brow and immediately his eyes widened as if he realized that he had done something which he should not have.

.

"My fa..father shared this fact with me.", He stuttered.

.

'But why did he stutter? CADE BLACK, what are you hiding from everyone?', There were so many things in mind and only one person had its answer but I knew he wouldn't share anything clearly. So the only thing which I could do was to wait and observe everything near me carefully.

"Morning guys", I greeted my siblings on the breakfast table

.

"Morning", Everyone smiled when they greeted me back. I took a seat beside Ben. "I have an announcement to make", I said, grabbing my coffee and cookies from the plate. "I will leave with Cade to explore around his pack and to know him better.", I decided to share half the truth since they were my family.

.

"No", Ben quickly rejected my idea. "You will not spend time with him anymore. I don't trust that guy. Even though I didn't have my wolf with me, I can sense danger around him."

.

"I agree with Ben.", Mattew said and was already on Ben's side.

.

"Even do I.", Becca whispered slowly.

.

"Include me in your side, Bro.", Keith said. No way they could forbid me to do anything which I want.

.

Everyone was staring at me, waiting for my reaction after all it was four against one. I smiled looking at them. "I am a big girl, now. You guys are not my parents so don't act like one.", I said and continued to look at everyone's expression. 

.

"Fine then, don't forget to take the Moonstone. With its help, our father can reach you anytime and anywhere. And in case of any emergency rub the stone so that he will know that you are in danger.", Keith said. I could see that everyone was unhappy about his comment but his words make sense. Our father had the power to teleport anywhere, all he needed to have the location.

"Okay.", I muttered. No one said anything after that. In Fact, there was a pin drop silence. 'Wow, what a morning!', I thought and ate my breakfast silently. Rest of the day, I kept myself busy between the books reading more about the packs and their leaders and to my surprise whatever had Becca said was true.

'I will ask Cade to take me to his pack once we will return from the spirit world in one piece.', I thought.

At night, I left with Cade in front of my family so that they wouldn't doubt my intention about my plan to meet Grandpa's soul in the spirit world. We continued to travel in the car for a few hours until we reached the place where there was nothing except the dark forest.

What was he doing to do?

Oh yes! There was no way any car entered the forest.

Now he would transform himself into the wolf and would ask me to sit on his back till we reached the entrance of the spirit world.

I started buckling out the seat belt before I would have opened the door, Cade had already opened my door. He gave his hand and I grabbed it when I walked out from his fancy car. I tried hard not to smile but I couldn't help it because he acted like some prince in the books. But I knew that he was no prince.

.

"You look beautiful while smiling.", He said and gave a light kiss on my cheek. I knew my cheeks were red by now. I looked away to hide my blush. Then my eyes landed on the dark forest

'It looked dangerous.', I thought.

.

"I won't let anything happen to you, Annie. I promise you that.", He stated and I knew he was serious with his words. We kept staring at each other for a second before I nodded my head slowly. As I had thought, he didn't change himself into a wolf but instead he held my hand and started walking toward the forest.

'Please don't tell me that he is not a werewolf.', I thought and my eyes widened with that thought.
