Mr. Morgan was behind the desk in his hotel suite, looking through the balance sheets of Morgan Corporation, when Jacob, his right-hand man, brought in a cup of water and his medicine.

“It's time for your medicine, Sir,” Jacob said, placing the tray by the side.

"Jacob, unplug my phone and bring it here. I need to call Aria and see how she's doing. I told her I'll be returning to pay her a visit by the end of the day. She must be waiting for me,” Mr. Morgan told Jacob, but the man stood unmoving.

“Did you hear what I just said?” Mr. Morgan asked, seeing how Jacob was still standing.

“Please take your medicine first, Sir. I'll bring the phone after,” Jacob said.

The reason he had brought the medicine in the first place was that he didn't want his boss's blood pressure to shoot up or for his heart to fail all of a sudden because of the news he was about to share.

The boss's condition seemed to have improved over the past few days after finding the young miss, but it would be best
