Chapter 18

~ MAYA’S POV

The next day….

I step out of Ashton's room and am about to head into the kitchen to get something when I saw Ashton’s mom stepping out of the store room with a plate in her hand. It looks like the remaining food on the plate was stale. She looked around her environment making sure that no one was watching her, I instantly hid behind the wall and I peak my head to see what she was going.

Once she realized the coster was clear, she closed the door behind her and walked away.

What the hell was that about?

I kept to where I stood until I heard no more noise of her heels clicking on the floor. I peeked my head to confirm that she is really gone before I walked into the store room. I have been wanting to come back here since the last time I came. There are so many things here and I think I can find something that can help find out more about my mom.
