Chapter 45

~ MAYA’S POV

"Breakfast is served, Maya. Come join us." Marta said the second I walked into the kitchen.

"Thanks, Marta but I’m not really hungry," I said

"You will be when I told you that I made pancakes for breakfast. And not to mention they are so fluffy and delicious." She sniffs them drool at how good they look. "You need to try them."

"Thanks but am kinda running late. I have somewhere to go. Thanks for the pancakes though."

"Ohh that’s a bummer, but where are you going?" She asked

"The library," I responded

"Ohh, okay but don’t you want to try my pancakes before you go?"

"I wish I could but I’m running late," I said.

"Should I pack some for you? You can eat it while you’re studying at the library." She suggested

"Sure, why not. You should pack it up for me."

"Okay then." She carried the plate which has more pancakes on it. "Give me one minute and I will be right back."

"Okay," I said with a smile on my face and she immediately went behind the counter to pack the pancake.
