“Did I embarrass myself in front of Isaac? I never thought I will be having a hot neighbor like him”. I hope he didn’t think that he has a weird neighbor.

I went back to my bed and tried to fall asleep again but unfortunately, I couldn’t my mind was active but my body was lazy. I remain lay and decided to read my favorite author books to pass the time before I will get up and made my breakfast.

It’s a weekend so I feel a little disappointed because normally, I spend my weekend sleeping for half of the day but now I can’t do it and you already know why. I took my breakfast and planned for general cleaning after. I don’t have a massive plan for my weekend so normal routine again. Sleep, Eat, Clean, and Read. That is my weekend but unfortunately for my work, there is no weekend at all. I am always on call even I don’t want to. My authors can be a handful sometimes. So having no choice I attended them.

After I finish everything, I thought of going to the supermarket. I need some ingredients for my dinner anyway. I took a bath and prepare to go out. I took a walk at a nearby supermarket. It is refreshing to the eyes, to see a dog walking with their master, kids running around and playing, old ladies having their time with each other. In a small town like this, you could say that most of the people here are closer to each other. I arrived at the supermarket and I saw one of my friends in the area.

“Jenny, how are you? I called her.

“Oh Bettany, I barely recognize you, hi how are you I didn’t see you for some time”. she answered surprisingly.

“I’m good just busy at work, and you know most of my weekend working and at home.

“Yeah, I see that both of you and Tamara are busier than us. Both of you don’t have time to come to our get-together anymore. Most of them are always asking where are Tamara and you”. She sadly said.

“Sorry, you know T is in another city she only comes here on weekends and most of our get-togethers are on weekdays and we are both not available on weekdays.

“Okay, next time we will arrange it for the weekend so both of you can make it, no excuses. They will be happy if both Tamara and you will be present,"

“Sure just update us when it will be, so we will not make any plans.

“Okay, let’s keep in touch. I have to go now, say my regards to Tamara.

“Sure, Take care. Bye.

I continue shopping for my ingredients and went back home after. I settle the things I bought and start preparing for my dinner. I’m planning to cook pasta and chicken. I'm craving it today. After a few minutes of cooking, I start to devour my pasta and chicken with some wine. I satisfy my cravings and I felt relaxed especially when I’m with my comforting food.

I sat in front of my television after my meal to watch some horror movies, even though I’m not a fan of horror, I’m a coward and easily scared, especially of the ghost. Quoting it is not existing. hahaha. The movie started and I started to focus. The silence enveloped my living room, only the sounds from the movie which I can hear. I’m all alone and my imagination started to kick in. The sound effects made me scared and imagine a creepiness to my surroundings. I'm at the climax of my movie when suddenly at that moment my phone rang.

“Ring, ring,..”

“Aaahh” I shouted and jumped to my seat to my surprise by the sound of my phone. “What the f*ck it frightens me, who is calling me in the middle of my movie. It gives me shock rather than the movie I'm watching.” I paused the movie. I calmed myself first before answering it. It could be important anyway.

“Hello good evening, this is Ms. Wright who is on the line? ” I answered and it's an unfamiliar number.

“Hi, Ms. Wright this is Ms. Cruz personal assistant of Mr. Smith, Mr. Smith calls an emergency meeting for all the directors and your presence will be expected tomorrow morning. Sorry if I disturb you at the moment, I just need to inform you by 10 a.m. all the directors should be present in the company. The agenda of the meeting will be discussed when all of you are already present. Thank you.

“Okay, Ms. Cruz thank you for informing. I will be right there tomorrow. Bye.”

I hang up the phone after our conversation. I sigh, when can I enjoy my weekend doing nothing just to sleep and relax? Thinking about what could be possible to happen tomorrow made me nervous and I don’t know why”.

The phone call I received just now ruined my mood on watching the movie. I didn’t continue watching it and headed to my room to change into my sleepwear and decided to call it a day early. I needed my rest and sleep to be on my right mind tomorrow at the meeting. I set up my alarm and fall asleep in no time.
