Fortunately, my recovery was quick—much faster than I had expected. The doctors discharged me after only a few days, assuring me that the side effects of the treatment would gradually fade if I followed their instructions to the letter. So I began packing my things to return home, with a mixture of relief and anxiety tightening my chest.

Unfortunately, Matt hadn’t come to visit me again. According to him, he was far too busy with work—endless meetings and responsibilities that couldn’t wait. I tried to understand, but deep down it hurt that he couldn’t spare even a few minutes for me.

When I arrived home, I noticed that everything was perfectly in order. The staff had taken care of keeping every space clean and immaculate, as if I had never been away. Just as I suspected, when I asked about my husband, they informed me that Matt had not returned home during my absence.

I walked toward my desk with slow steps. I needed to organize the space, since Matt had left many of Philip’s papers

  • My CEO husband cheated on me, and now I will take my revenge   13. My New Life

My New Life After canceling the shared credit card contracts and demanding that Matt leave my house, I was finally able to breathe peacefully. Leandro was organizing meetings with new investors; at last, K.O. Company officially had no investors, and the company was on the brink of bankruptcy. Of course, Matt didn’t know yet—because when he finds out, he’ll come raging as usual. I headed to the hospital so I could work in peace. I hoped the shift would be as pleasant as possible and that nothing would disturb my calm, but clearly that wasn’t going to happen. I was finishing up with a patient when, as I stepped out of the room, I found Matt waiting for me outside, arms crossed. I looked at him with disgust and walked past him, but he gently grabbed my arm. I understood he wanted to talk, so I told him to follow me to my office where we could speak more comfortably. Leandro watched everything from a distance and ordered the guards to stay outside the room in case Matt lost his mind—ju

  • My CEO husband cheated on me, and now I will take my revenge   12. I Will No Longer Be Kind

I Will No Longer Be Kind I woke up with a faint but persistent pain in my abdomen. It wasn’t a sharp pain, but a constant pressure, as if something heavy were resting on my body, reminding me—second by second—that none of what had happened had been a dream. I slowly opened my eyes, blinking several times as I tried to focus. The first thing I noticed was that I wasn’t in the hospital. The ceiling was high and elegant, adorned with delicate moldings and a crystal chandelier that reflected the light of dawn. The walls were covered in dark, sober wallpaper, and the air smelled of wood, cleanliness, and silent luxury. The room was spacious—far too spacious—and definitely didn’t belong to any medical facility. I slightly turned my head to the right, and then I saw him. A man stood with his back to me, facing a huge window that overlooked a perfectly manicured garden. His silhouette was firm, motionless, as if he were watching over the entire world from that spot. I didn’t need to see h

  • My CEO husband cheated on me, and now I will take my revenge   11. A Life Lost

A Life Lost Leandro watched me from the audience, partially hidden in the shadows of the auditorium. His presence was discreet, calculated, but I knew exactly where he was. Despite the distance, I could feel his gaze fixed on me—like a silent anchor reminding me that I was not alone in this war. I had to face a public audience and officially announce the inevitable: Matt Stone and I were getting divorced. The seats filled quickly. The journalists looked desperate, pushing each other to get the best angle. Professional cameras were aimed directly at my face, flashes firing nonstop, and the lighting was so intense it made me nauseous. The heat from the spotlights mixed with the constant murmur of the crowd made the air feel thick, almost impossible to breathe. Even so, I smiled inwardly. I had learned to maintain composure even in the middle of chaos. I hadn’t heard from Matt in days, and against all odds, that brought me relief. After all, he had already been living his life far

  • My CEO husband cheated on me, and now I will take my revenge   10. The First Step Toward Your Ruin

The First Step Toward Your RuinI took photographs of the scene as if it were a perfectly calculated crime. The shards of glass scattered across the floor, the wine glass shattered against the wall, my cheek slightly scraped, still red from the impact. I even attached the medical documents certifying that I was pregnant. Every image had a purpose. Every piece of evidence was another part of the puzzle I was about to complete. My plan was already in motion.I left the house early, silently, with firm but quiet steps. The morning air was cold, sharp, as if trying to warn me of something—but there was no turning back now. When I reached the parking lot, I found Leandro leaning against his car, speaking on the phone. When he saw me, he lifted his gaze and immediately understood. I gave a slight nod, signaling that we were heading to the hospital. He nodded back without asking questions and hung up.Now I had to face one of the hardest decisions of my life.I had to get rid of the baby gro

  • My CEO husband cheated on me, and now I will take my revenge   09. Put Your Signature, Mr. CEO

Put Your Signature, Mr. CEO Leandro was calmly sipping from his coffee cup while watching me closely. His posture was relaxed, but his eyes… his eyes missed absolutely nothing. I, on the other hand, was nervous. I could feel my pulse racing and a constant knot tightening in my stomach. Even so, I was determined. I hadn’t backed down so far, and I wasn’t about to start now. “And tell me… what are your intentions?” he finally asked, a faint smile on his lips, as if he were somehow congratulating me for having reached this point. I placed both hands on the table before answering. I needed to keep control of the conversation. The truth was, I didn’t have everything figured out yet—just an idea of what I wanted to do. But two minds were better than one. “Before we talk about punishments or agreements, we need to be completely transparent,” I said firmly. “I need to know how you discovered that I’m the owner of K.O. Company. I assume you knew Philip somehow… otherwise, I highly doubt yo

  • My CEO husband cheated on me, and now I will take my revenge   08. A New Addition

A New Addition The days passed with cruel speed, as if time itself were mocking me. Sometimes I felt like I had barely woken up when night had already fallen again. Everything depended on the day to know how Matt would treat me. There were mornings when he was the husband I had once fallen in love with—attentive, kind, with soft words and gestures that made me believe there was still something real between us. But on other days… on other days he reminded me, without saying it out loud, that our marriage had been a convenient contract, a cold alliance between two powerful families. The treatment had completely drained me. My body ached in ways I had never experienced before. I felt weak, dizzy, constantly nauseous, and exhausted beyond relief. The worst part was that Matt knew absolutely nothing about it. He was so busy with work and with Anais that finding a moment when he wasn’t “unavailable” was almost a miracle. Another thing Matt didn’t know—something that would completely turn
