CHAPTER FORTY-SIX

"Upper East Side."

"David has a house there?"

"Yes."

Collins nodded. He had no idea David had a house on the Upper East Side.

"When next I'm going, we'll go together."

Collins heaved a sigh of relief. She did not know the stress she had taken off him.

She had made things easier for him.

"That's good. I will be glad to follow you."

"Yeah. We'll talk later."

"Yeah."

His lips curved into a smile.

Leila headed to the room. David had just ended his meeting with the investors.

It was the right time for David. He brought out the shopping bags from where he had kept them.

"These are for you."

He handed it to her.

Leila smiled as she looked at what was inside. They were expensive bags and shoes.

"Thank you."

She said and sat in bed.

She wasn't happy at all and it was evident on her face.

David embraced her and tried to kiss her but she pulled away.

"We need to talk."

Leila said as she stared into his eyes.

David sighed.
