Liliana’s Point of View

I bit my lower lip as I stepped out of the elevator, still cringing at what I had said earlier.

“Thank you, Miss. You made our day.”

I froze and turned toward the people inside the elevator. They smiled at me, clearly amused, which made me smile back awkwardly.

“You’re welcome,” I replied, though confused.

Wait, what exactly made their day about what I said?

Shrugging off the thought, I walked toward my department. As I entered, I glanced around. I was no longer the same timid girl I used to be. There was no more space for shyness now.

“Good morning,” I greeted confidently.

They turned to look at me but didn’t respond. I raised a brow at their silence.

“G-Good morning, Ma’am,” they finally echoed.

Perhaps they had forgotten I was their senior in this department. I headed straight to my desk and immediately noticed the files stacked high on my table. These were the tasks they either didn’t want to do or pretended to need help with.

I sighed, watching them as I s

  • My Contracted Husband Is My Boss (Eng Ver.)   Chapter 44

Liliana’s Point of ViewI felt someone lifting me. Why do I feel drunk already? I only had a little to drink earlier. I slowly opened my eyes and glanced at the person carrying me.“Make sure her meetings for Monday are arranged,” I heard him say.“Yes, Boss. Are you not working overtime tomorrow?” Caleb asked.“No. I need to give my wife some time. I’m not like before—stuck in the company with no one to come home to on my days off.”Caleb smiled and gave him a small nod. Then I saw him—my husband, Asher. I couldn’t help but smile while staring at him. God really outdid Himself when He made this man. He’s just… perfect.“Hubby!” I suddenly yelled, which made both Asher and Caleb jump—and probably everyone else in the lobby too.“I think Miss Liliana becomes a different person when she’s drunk,” Caleb said with a chuckle as they walked.I moved a little and reached up to wrap my arms around Asher’s neck. They paused as he adjusted his grip on me.“Are you uncomfortable, Wife? Do you ne

  • My Contracted Husband Is My Boss (Eng Ver.)   Chapter 43

Liliana’s Point of ViewEveryone was staring at me. I hadn’t even raised my wine glass yet. How could I? Both my hands were being held—one by Asher, the other by Gerald.I sighed deeply and decided to play along like I was completely drunk. Slowly, I closed my eyes and let my head drop forward, about to land on the table when someone gently caught me and leaned my head against their shoulder. It was then I realized—it was Asher.“Looks like Ms. Liliana is completely drunk,” someone commented.“I’ll take her home,” Gerald quickly offered. My fingers tightened around Asher’s hand, silently telling him not to let go. I didn’t want Gerald to take me.“Are you sure you’re okay to drive?” Asher asked, his tone calm but pointed. “You’ve been drinking too, haven’t you? Isn’t it dangerous to drive while intoxicated?”I thought he’d understand my hint. Apparently not—Asher wasn’t about to back down easily.“Who here hasn’t had a drink?” he continued. “And yet she’s the one who looks the most af

Liliana’s Point of ViewWe were in the parking lot now—me, Maribelle, Gerald, Jack, and a few others from work. Some had already taken taxis, and the rest had their own cars.Gerald opened the passenger door next to the driver’s seat, like it was reserved for me all along.“This is really your seat, Babe. Sit here.”I glanced at Maribelle. She smiled and nodded toward the open door.“Jack, let Mirabelle ride with you,” I said. “You’d be all alone otherwise. That’s okay with you, right, Mirabelle?”She looked surprised at first, then smiled and slowly nodded.“Okay. That’s fine. We’ll just follow behind you guys.”I smiled and reached for her hand. “Thank you, BFF.”She blinked in surprise. “You’re forgiving me?”I nodded. “Yes. You’re my best friend. Of course, I will.”I patted her head gently, and she smiled at me. Then she wrapped her arms around me.“I missed you, Beshy.”I hugged her back and caught Jack looking at us, so I raised an eyebrow at him. When our hug ended, I smiled a

Liliana’s Point of ViewMy eyes widened as I looked at Asher’s parents. Without thinking, I quickly covered my face, and Asher pulled me into a hug. Oh my God—he actually wanted this to happen! How could he be enjoying this so much?“Mom, why did you bring that camera?” he asked.“To make memories. Oh my God! This angle is so good!” his mom said, obviously delighted as she kept filming.I slowly peeked out from behind my hands. Oh no.“Baby Liliana, don’t be shy,” his mom cooed. Then she suddenly hugged me, which completely caught me off guard.“You better get used to this. This is how Mom is. She’s always wanted a daughter,” Asher whispered beside me.“Baby Liliana, don’t be shy with me,” his mom said again, her voice full of warmth. “I heard your grandparents were the only ones left with you. From now on, treat me like your mom, and treat my husband like your dad. We're a family now.”I froze at her words, biting my lip as tears welled up in my eyes. I had always dreamed of having a

Liliana’s Point of View*I stood frozen on the spot, completely unable to move. Oh my God… I wasn’t ready for this at all. And to make things worse, Asher and I were still in a bit of a misunderstanding because of what I said earlier. Yes, yes, I know—it was my fault!“Son, who’s this girl?” his mom asked, her voice sharp and straightforward. I couldn’t even lift a finger.Asher stepped beside me and gently placed a hand on my waist, pulling me in just a little closer.“My wife. She’s my wife, Liliana,” he said clearly, like he wanted no confusion. They looked at each other for a second, then both turned their eyes to me.“It’s nice to meet you,” I said softly, bowing my head a bit out of respect. Are they going to judge me? Like those in the movies? Will they disapprove and try to tear us apart?Without realizing it, I gripped Asher’s arm tighter. He wrapped his arms around me protectively.“What’s wrong, Wife?” he whispered gently.“H-Hubby… I’m sorry about earlier. I know I upset y

  • My Contracted Husband Is My Boss (Eng Ver.)   Chapter 37

Liliana’s Point of ViewI woke up early. The first thing I saw was him—still fast asleep beside me. He looked so peaceful. I couldn’t help but smile... but then I caught myself. I shook the smile away, stood up, stretched a little, and gave him one last glance before stepping outside the room.I figured I’d cook breakfast for the both of us. I mean, I know he’s tired too, and he needs proper food. Something warm. Something healthy. So I started cooking—enough for breakfast and lunch. While I was chopping vegetables, my phone buzzed. I checked it and saw a message.Just a simple “Good morning.” It was Gerald.I ignored it and set my phone back down. I tasted what I was cooking—and I smiled. It was really good. Made me feel a little proud, I guess. But then... another message.> “I miss your cooking. Hope you’d make me something again.”Yeah, right. Keep dreaming.> “Hah. No chance. I’m never cooking for you again.”It made me remember what I told him once.Flashback…“You know... I onl

  • My Contracted Husband Is My Boss (Eng Ver.)   Chapter 36

Liliana’s Point of View We had just gotten back to his condo. We’d eaten out because earlier, he overheard me saying I was hungry. Instead of cooking, he decided we should eat at a restaurant. Not just any place though—he took me somewhere really expensive. I told him a cheaper one was fine, but of course, he didn’t listen. I couldn’t say no. The food was great, honestly. But the price? Seriously outrageous. “Hey,” I called out. He stopped on his way to the kitchen and turned to look at me. “What?” I paused. Oh, right... I almost forgot. “Hey,” I repeated, this time with more confidence. I had to remind myself—I need to act like the boss sometimes. He can’t always be the one in control. He started walking toward me, and I quickly stood up from the couch to meet him. I thought standing might help me feel taller. It didn’t. “Oh? What now? Gonna kiss me again?” I said with a little sass, lifting my chin as we locked eyes. He chuckled. I don’t think he meant to—it just escaped him
