"No wonder you always turn us down whenever we ask you to go out for lunch. So you were having lunch with your sugar daddy instead. You really have no shame!" Kaia Watson, my lunch buddy, spat disdainfully with eyes full of scorn.

After the lunch break ended, my colleagues had gradually returned to their desks.

When Frankie Leach from the sales department heard the argument, he chimed in as well. "Yelena Linden, if you had the nerve to sleep with the boss, then we aren't exactly crossing the line when we use your face for a little entertainment, right?"

His words sparked a chorus of lewd snickers from the other male coworkers.

"Exactly. You did your thing, and we did ours. It's a win-win," someone agreed.

Hearing them slander and spread rumors about me without bothering to find out the truth first made me feel sick inside.

I turned on the voice recorder on my phone and gestured at them. "Not only did you fabricate untrue sexual rumors about me, but you also spread them among yourselves. Are all of you looking to get sued together?"

To my surprise, Kaia burst out laughing. She stepped forward and slapped my phone out of my hand.

"You're the one who's having an immoral affair in the office, and you still have the nerve to sue others now?" she jeered.

In the next moment, she threw several photos at me. They had secretly taken pictures of me entering the boss' office.

Kaia said, "I've already reported your improper private conduct and the fact that you seduced the boss with your body to the Securities and Exchange Commission. Just wait. You'll be suspended from work while they investigate you."

I jerked my head up and felt my brow twitch with shock.

I found it hard to believe that they had gone over the company's human resources department and reported me straight to the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Our company was undergoing a crucial evaluation period this year that would determine whether we could go public. If the commission found even the slightest issue, the company's reputation and financial performance would suffer enormous losses.

All of Dad's hard work over the past decade would be destroyed in an instant.

I raised my voice, my expression turning grim. "Even if you wanted to report me, you shouldn't have gone over the company's top management. Do you have any idea how much damage it will do to the company if people from the commission come here?"

Kaia merely shrugged with a completely unconcerned expression.

She mocked, "Heh. You haven't even secured your position yet, and you're already acting like you're the boss' wife."

Kaia was sure that the boss would never disappoint all his employees by siding with a shameless homewrecker who should just stay hidden in the shadows.

My other colleagues immediately backed her up.

"Only with a clean workplace can the company develop even better. Someone who sells her body has no right to stand there acting righteous and speaking on behalf of the company."

"Now you're pretending to care about the company? The best thing you can do for it is to get the hell out right now."
