Chapter 8 The qualifications of a good wife

"This is where we are going to live until we will be able to purchase our new home." Cole told Rachel, she look around the bachelor's pad. It is sure a luxurious place but the space is obviously for single male accomodations and there is only one bedroom although it's a large one. One bathroom. There's no  space to put her paintings  much more no space to do her work.

Rachel actually trained as an artist. She studied fine arts in her spare time, to avoid the chaos at home with her mother's constant complain about things and bickering with either her or her father.

Her mother was a local beauty queen who dreams of making it big in showbusiness, she saw that going with Oscar Barnes will fulfill this ambition but  she became pregnant and it smashed her dream into pieces that she constantly blames her husband. She build the fulfilment of her dreams through her daughters but Rachel hates the limelight and prefers to work in the shadows with her painting
