A Jealous Prince

Desperate to break free, she started clawing at the large hand.

“I wouldn’t dare to scream if I was you, princess,” his rough voice slid like a wisp of scorching air over her skin. She held her breath as realization dawned upon her. It was him.

He slowly pulled his hand down. She whimpered.

“Ssshhhh…no noise or,” he whispered hotly in her ear as he rested his hands on her waist. Applying a little pressure, he turned her around. The graceful slope of her waist urged him to explore more of her but he restrained.

Her glossy blue eyes were sparkling like a star in a moonless night. Then he forcefully pushed her back against the wall and thrusted forward until there was just a breath of distance between them. Sienna watched him moving closer with horror-struck eyes. Her heartbeat shot up.

“W*..what are you doing?” she stuttered, baffled.

“Exactly. What are you doing, moonshine? Why that mutt is always following you around?” he questioned in a deep, annoyed tone. She felt the scorching heat of his body searing her skin. He was uncomfortably close now.

“Move back,” she protested as she put her small hands on his large chest and tried to push him away. But before she could understand, her hands were pinned against the wall. Her eyes widened with shock as she suddenly found herself caged by him. His eyes instantly dropped to her arched chest.  It would be difficult for anyone to make out those round, soft lumps under her baggy shirt but not for Azriel. He forced her arms wider, causing her shirt to snuggle closely around her curves. He marveled at her small breasts as they rose and fell appetizingly with rapid breaths. So fucking tempting. He licked his lip and wondered how would they feel crushed against his brick-like chest.

The beast between his legs was slowly roaring to life.

“I said move back,” her fake confidence interrupted his inspection.

“Not before you answer my question,” a dark shadow swept over his features as he pressed closer. Her confidence faded away like a cloud of smoke in the air.

“What’s going on between you and that mutt?” he demanded sharply.

“Nnn..nothing,” she denied.

“Are you sure, moonshine? Because it doesn’t seem so,” he pressed, not convinced.

“I am not lying,” she answered honestly.

“You better not be,” he swiftly pulled both her arms over her head and bound them with his one large hand. She was completely vulnerable against him now and open as well.

He pinched her jaw and forced her face up. A cold shiver curled down her quivering spine when she met his eyes. His wolf was close to ripping out.

“Because if I found out you are lying, I will kill both of you,” he declared, staring intently into her eyes. His sharp gaze could have easily cut through a stone. Her stomach clenched.

“Why do you hate me so much?” her voice was thick with fear and confusion.

Her question brought a cruel smirk to his lips.

“Because, princess, you deserve it,” he replied, smirking.

Without a delay, he retreated a step and let go of her hands. It was only then she released her breath.

“And that boy deserves someone better than you,” he added disdainfully while walking backward. He also made a show of dusting his clothes as if he had touched some trash. His act didn't go unnoticed by Sienna.

Another jolt of pain wracked her inside. Why did he have to humiliate her all the time?

The bell rang. It was the time for training.

Azriel was one of the trainers. Despite being only eighteen, the boy had outstanding combat skills. Valor ran in his veins and an insatiable hunger for conquest burned in his core.

His obsession for power and supremacy had turned him into a competitive bastard. He could go to any length to win.

The students were lined up in many rows.

He and the other trainers stood in the front.

“Today we will practice defense. Remember, to win a battle, defense is as important as Attack. Now everyone gets yourself a partner,” Azriel announced in his authoritative voice while looking through the crowd. The lines, instantly, broke into tiny groups.

His gaze zeroed in on one person who was standing far away and looked bored to death. His lips tugged up into a smirk as a wicked idea lit his mind.

“Dustin,” he shouted the boy’s name.

Dustin looked at him. His black eye had almost healed.

“Come fight with me,” Azriel urged him on.

Dustin looked around. Everyone was staring at him with anticipation. He was a peace-loving man who never had any interest in fighting and battles. But right now he couldn’t say no, first because of his proud wolf and secondly, the person who had called him for the fight was the Alpha Royal Prince.

Heaving a sigh, he reluctantly walked towards him.

“Let's do it wolf to wolf,” Azriel proposed maliciously. Dustin was shocked at the proposal.

“I don’t think it..”

“More often than not we have to fight in our wolf form so training our wolf is as important as training our human side. Besides, I don’t want to break your glasses once again. You look uglier without glasses,” he replied, smirking.

Dustin gritted his teeth but kept mum. He didn’t want to be kicked out of the kingdom.

“Now shift,” Azriel commanded in his alpha tone.

Dustin slowly took off his specs and crouched on his four. Azriel followed suit. Soon the sound of bone cracking rang in the ear as the two humans shifted in wolves.

A chilly shudder went up everyone’s spine as they watched the jet-black beast rise to its huge height. His wolf was double the size of a normal wolf; a perk of being royal. His red glowing eyes were burning like the inferno, prompting everyone to secretly thank their stars for not being the one at the receiving end of his rage. Those vicious eyes were trained on the brown wolf in front of him.

The onlookers retreated a step when a fierce growl reverberated in the sky like the bursting of a cloud in a stormy night. Even Darco, Dustin’s wolf trembled in fear. Vulcan’s enormous size had already put him in self-doubt.

Before anyone could understand, Vulcan, Azriel’s beast had already pounced on the brown wolf. The fighting began. Darco tried to dodge Vulcan but the monster can’t be avoided for long. The bigger wolf soon had him biting the dust. Darco was soaked in blood by then. He had no strength left in him now. But Vulcan was still not satisfied. He wanted to rip his throat and bath in his red blood. He wanted to tear his mouth and gouge his eyes out.

Vulcan growled thunderously, urging Darco to fight back. But the brown wolf was in no condition to even stand, let alone fight back.

The fight had attracted hundreds of crowds. Everyone had held their breath as they watched the royal wolf beating an ordinary wolf to its death. Soon, other trainers had to intervene. They urged Vulcan to step back or Dustin was surely going to die. Clearly, Vulcan was mauling him with the intent of snatching his life. Darco was without an ounce of strength and couldn’t do anything except take his hist.

However, Vulcan came back to his senses before he could claim an innocent’s life. He could lose his crown for good if he killed an innocent. And this prick wasn’t worth it. So, he stood back and fixed the almost dead wolf with a fierce glare. He retreated a couple steps but not before letting out a ferocious snarl which sent everyone quaking in their boots.

After a few moments, he shook his blood off his fur and turned around. Everyone watched him dumbfounded as he casually walked into the building, leaving bloody pawprints behind.

Dustin was immediately taken to the healer. Luckily, he wasn’t that much injured and his wolf had amazing recovery speed.

Rage overtook Sienna when she found out about it. She knew why he had targeted Dustin. It was all because of her. She had no idea why was he so adamant on making her already hell life worse. She had never wronged him, in fact, she always had tried to avoid him. Azriel’s stupid hatred for her had almost cost Dustin his life. She couldn’t find it in herself to ignore it. Dustin had always been kind to her, something she had rarely received. He was the only friend she got.

The poor boy had already lost his family. He didn’t deserve this kind of treatment. He didn’t deserve to be tangled in their mess.

Her resentment festered in her. In a fit of rage, she decided to confront Azriel. She could endure him bullying her but not her only friend.

However, she, not even in her wildest dream, had expected what he was going to demand from her.
