Angelina's POV

"I'm an intersex" she said and I froze.

So my mind was not playing games with me, I can't say I'm not curious now because I am. Without realising it my eyes traveled down to see if i can see anything and back up to her eyes to see she caught me staring.

"Are you ok with it?" She asked a bit nerves

"Uhm Y-yeah I just need to process this new information and speak to your father as to why he never told me" Josh is so going to sleep on the couch tonight.

"Ther..." just as she was about to speak my phone started ringing I took it seeing it was Josh I answered.

"Hiya honey" I hope he is on his way home.

"Hey honey I just call to tell you I'll be working late tonight I'm sorry I won't make it for dinner" my mood immediately died this is the third time this week he's working late.

"It's ok baby I get to bond with Ashley now I guess" I answered trying not to sound hurt.

"I'm really sorry I'll make it up to you ok?" He said referring to sex.

"Yeah and when you get back we need to talk" I said and heard some mumbling on his end.

"Alright honey I need to go now bye love you" and he hung up.

I know I'm not supposed to doubt his whereabouts but apart of me does. My ex husband cheated on me in our own house. I can't help but think this way. We've been married for 4 months now and I'm not supposed to feel this way. Wha...

"He's working late again isn't he?" I was brought out my thought by Ashley who I forgot was sitting right opposite me.

"Yes I'm sorry he won't make it to dinner" I gave her an apologetic smile.

"It's alright I'm already used to him not being home" she gave me a soft smile and left me with my thoughts again.

Has he always left her alone. I mean she is 19 but before has he left her that way or is it a new thing.

I woke up to a light shaking. When did I fall asleep and how the hell did I end up in bed, I thought looking around.

"Hey Angel go freshen up I made us dinner" Ashley said lightly brushing her hand on my shoulder and walked off.

"Uhm Ashley?"

"Yeah?" She asked turning around facing me.

"How did I get in my bed?" Gosh I must sound stupid wanting to know how I myself got into bed.

"Uhm well after I went to my room to get my phone and went back down I found you asleep on the couch, you looked uncomfortable so I carried you in here I hope you don't mind" she said scratching the back of her neck.

I smiled at her thoughtfulness "thank you for bringing me up here" she just smiled and nodded.

"Well go freshen up or dinner will be cold" she said walking out leaving me to freshen up.

I took 15 minutes in the shower and put on my night gown since I'm not planning on doing much after eating dinner with Ashley.

When I got to the kitchen I could smell the melted cheese and bacon which made me wonder what she made for dinner.

Wow she really is a good cook. I can see everything set perfectly, two plates with a perfectly cut piece of pasta on each and and bottle of red wine in the middle of the table. All of this made me smile because her father has not done anything like this for me but he can't cook so yeah.

"You made this all on your own?" I asked still not believing she made it.

"Yes I made it and for desert we will have chocolate pudding hope you don't mind I went a bit overboard" she gave me the brightest smile she could.

"Your father weren't kidding when he said you the cook of the house and it's no problem you can cook everything if it's going to look like this" I gave her a warming smile.

"Careful what you wish for there mama bear you might never enter your kitchen again if I take over here" she said with a smirk and I could definitely get use to her calling me 'mama bear'.

"Well me tasting what you've made will decide if I want that wish to come true or not honey bear" I played along with a smirk and I swear I could see her tense up when I called her 'honeybear'.

She relaxed and sat across from me "let's eat then mama bear" she said and we dug into our food.
