Chapter Forty Two: Open Up

"Put me down!" I shrieked as Elias continued to carry me through the castle on his shoulder. "What do you think you're doing?"

"If you don't be quiet, I'm going to spank you." Elias warned me, his grip tightening around my thighs.

Snapping my mouth shut, I didn't dare argue back out of fear he would actually stick to his threat. Instead, I focused my attention on the ground below me as it moved along with his steps.

I didn't quite know what was going on within the man's mind, but to go this far, he had to have his reasons, but I was still infuriated by how I had to go at his pace.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked slowly, keeping my voice calm.

"Back to our room." Elias responded as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "I told you that you wouldn't be staying in your old room anymore."

"But why do I have to stay with you?" I asked, unable to keep up with the man's thoughts. "Wouldn't it be an insult to your fiance to have me in your room?"
