“Why are you smiling? I thought you hated me.” Brayden looked at her with interest still with a slight smile on his face.
“Oh. Well mostly I’m smiling for my parents. I was devastated to find out what’s going on and while it’s still upsetting at least I can help in some way or another. I wouldn’t have been able to help at all.” She responded after thinking about it. “And I don’t hate you. I don’t know you beyond bullying me into marrying you. I definitely don’t like you, but if you hold up your end o the deal and help my parents then I can at least tolerate you.”
“Thanks.” Brayden mumbled and stood up. “Do you want your lawyer present for the signing?”

Meredith found Dino in the bedroom near the office. He was curled up in the far corner of the closet as if he were trying to get as far away from wherever he was being held against his will. Meredith sat at the kitchen island alone. She knew she had overstepped with the question. But it was all she wanted to know when she thought about it.She wondered about this man that was her husband.
