Samantha Point of view 

I stayed on the ground, staring at Rai's hand until it was clean. Rai then tossed it aside casually. He looked at me and waited. He seemed to be waiting for me to talk, to scream, to run, to do anything, but there was nothing.

I blinked once, then twice, then once again. I took a deep breath and tried to speak, only for my voice to come out in a stutter. "Shapeshifter?" I questioned before shaking my head at the thought that I voiced out loud. I reasoned, "No, your hand shapeshifted into a weapon. Shapeshifters usually shapeshift into living things but not objects. So how? How? I don't know anyone who can shapeshift into a weapon."
