Samantha Point of View
Aria and I watched as my other self walked away with the boy who claimed to be her mate. Not long after, the scenery began to change. I looked at Aria, waiting for her to confirm what I just saw. Aria nodded and told me, "He is your mate. Ryder was your mate because I was in you and my mate was in him, which basically made you mates. But without me, you would have belonged to someone else. You were someone's mate."
It didn't seem that way when I looked at them. With my brows furrowed, I looked at Aria with a puzzled expression on my face. "But she didn't feel anything for him. I thought falling in love with your mate was easy." I said.
Aria shook her head lightly at the notion. She then responded, "It's not. Having mates doesn't affect how much you love them. It's like a pull. It just sends signals that the person was chosen to be your mate by the moon goddess herself, but it is our decision to accept them or not.
Samantha Point of view The memory shifted back into the forest. It was similar to the forest where I was attacked, but this time, I wasn't afraid for myself. It was not as frightening since Rai was there with me. As I looked around, I spotted Rai chopping wood , which put a grin on my face. I let out a small, but hearty laugh at the thoughts that went through my mind. "It's funny how it's easier to find you these days." I said with my weight shifted onto one leg. Aware of my presence in the vicinity, he momentarily glanced at me and then rolled his eyes. He turned his attention back to his work right after while he grumbled, "That's cause you're prone to getting yourself in trouble." Slowly and carefully, I made my way down the slope and then went over to where he was. He was chopping off some wood, leaving piles of wood and splinter scattered on the ground. He had his cloak off, revealing parts of his scars visible on the areas of his
Samantha Point of view Memories started to come by faster and faster. One moment we were with Rai then we'd find ourselves with someone else in another. One day, I went to visit him again to bother him some more as he chopped up some more wood. Then another day, when it was a bit more sunny than usual, she brought a hat that she made from scratch and made one for him. He didn't accept it, of course. Then the next memory was me standing over the tree to surprise him. As soon as he was right underneath her, she jumped on him while she laughed. Another memory was when she managed to grab his cloak and run from him. He chased her down and easily caught up with her in a matter of minutes. Then it was the next memory, which was longer than th
Samantha Point of view Another memory flashed where I was in the forest. I was walking in the direction to where Rai usually is at this time but I slowed down. I was in slight pain. I decided to sit down and lift my bottom up and see a long cut on the side of my leg. I laughed nervously and said, "This doesn't look good.""I should have turned around and taken care of this," I said to myself. "Stubborn Samira didn't bother to look and decided to just keep going." I sighed hard. "Now, it's gonna be hard to get back."I assessed the open cut. It wasn't that deep nor was it bleeding a lot. It's the bruise on my knee. I must have fallen pretty hard. I should clean the cut too to avoid getting it infected. I look up and see that I took a long ti
Samantha Point of viewWe were getting closer and closer to the village. As soon as we did, it was already getting dark. The street light began to light themselves up so we could still see through the becoming darkness. Under one of those streetlights, I see my brother worried but as soon as he saw me he frowns.I see him looking at Rai. Rai sees him glaring at him but he doesn't seem to be bothered. He walked over to him and lowered down so I can move off his back. I was about to thank him when Xavier grabbed my arm and pulled me towards him as he glares at Rai.Rai knew what his problem was. His sister was gone the whole afternoon then suddenly seeing a man carrying her on his back was not as innocent as it seems. He looks over to me and says, "Make sure you treat and clean it."Xavier looks at me wondering what he was talking about. Rai leaves and Xavier's attention was fully on me. I sat on the bench near us but still does
Samantha Point of view On the next day, Xavier and I made a deal that I would at least tell my mate the truth. He did deserve that much at least. I changed into my clothes and fixed my hair before coming out of my room. When I did, I see my mother and father in the kitchen talking. They both had smiles on their faces when they see me going out. Mom went around the counter and told dad to get the basket on the table. Dad hurriedly went over to get it and gave it to her. Mom had food prepared and placed carefully into the basket. "Samira, do you what else he likes?" mom asked me but I didn't answer. I just stared at them thinking how much they would be disappointed when I tell them. None of them notice my silence and continued searching for other food to put inside besides bread.
Samantha Point of view I immediately pushed him back, making him stumble but not enough to fall. I stood there in horror, my face was inflamed in rage. He looks taken aback and hurt but I just couldn't believe he would force a kiss on me. I wanted to yell, scream, and just straight off tell him how pissed I am. My hand clenched as I thought of the things I wanted to say but when I look at him, my emotions were mixed with guilt. I am so pissed but in a way, I felt bad for him. I technically robbed him of his happiness. Werewolves only get one mate and I was his only one. Instead of screaming at him, I turned away and left him standing there alone. I walked away and walked into the village. I thought of going to see Linda but I stopped in my tracks when reaching the end of the bridge that takes me into the center of the village. I didn't feel like going to her anymore. I thought of going to see Rai instead. I wan
Samantha Point of viewThe moment when I believed that something isn't right, is happening right now. Rai and I just spend the whole day doing nothing but stare at the sky. We didn't speak. We didn't stand. We didn't bother to look at each other. We just sat under the big tree and breathe in the fresh air. This was the first time we just sat here doing nothing. It wasn't awkward at all. We both knew that this was okay. This was what we needed. He knew I needed this. To just take a break and just breathe. To gather all my thoughts and calm myself. I really do feel at peace. This was a different peace than what I feel with my family. With my family, I had responsibility. My mother was a wise keeper and I on the other hand needed to be one as well.I have so many expectations from my family. I build a reputation here. Always helpful, always kind, always calm and composed. I needed to be a good example because I was a keeper who h
Samantha Point of view It was the next day, the sky was clear and the place started to crowd. It could be because of the new shop that opened up a few days ago. They do make good sandwiches in the village. Linda and I manage to be line up earlier before the line got longer. After paying for our sandwich we made our way to the bench a few meters away from the shop. Linda takes a bite of her food then says, "You really should have punched him in the face." I chuckled and gave her a tissue when I see some of the sandwich's ingredients spilling from her mouth. She laughs too but tries to contain it to prevent any more food from falling out. She grabs the tissue and places it over her mouth. Just before we made it to the benches, Linda grabs me by the back of my clothes. I stop and turn my head to look at her and asked, "What?" She wasn't looking at me. She was looking somewhere else. I looked followed her g
