The memory shifted back into the forest. It was similar to the forest where I was attacked, but this time, I wasn't afraid for myself. It was not as frightening since Rai was there with me. As I looked around, I spotted Rai chopping wood , which put a grin on my face. I let out a small, but hearty laugh at the thoughts that went through my mind. "It's funny how it's easier to find you these days." I said with my weight shifted onto one leg.

Samantha Point of view On the next day, Xavier and I made a deal that I would at least tell my mate the truth. He did deserve that much at least. I changed into my clothes and fixed my hair before coming out of my room. When I did, I see my mother and father in the kitchen talking. They both had smiles on their faces when they see me going out. Mom went around the counter and told dad to get the basket on the table. Dad hurriedly went over to get it and gave it to her. Mom had food prepared and placed carefully into the basket. "Samira, do you what else he likes?" mom asked me but I didn't answer.
