Samantha Point of view 

I have never seen my brother look so torn between believing my words or thinking of it as a prank but he knew I would not joke about this. His hand that was holding the umbrella upward slowly lowered down. I could see his visible anxiousness when he swallowed. His eyes were wide open as he stared at me, trying to decide.

Maybe he was waiting for me to say that it was a prank. That we would both burst into laughter for a few minutes. He would have complimented me for a convincible performance but the more time has passed, the chance of Linda's death being a lie was closing.
