Victory

Luther felt satisfied with his victory until Roland burst into a wild laugh.

“What's funny, boy! I have the upper hand here. You are counting death if you try to break free from my grip.” Luther coldly said.

“Are you sure? Look down.” Rake calmly stated.

“What the hell?”

“Before you think about snapping my neck, this blade will already be stuck deep into your heart. Do you want to test who’s faster?”

Luther hesitated for a second with a frown on his face, then his fingers slowly slipped off Roland’s neck while gazing at the knife pinpointed directly at his heart.

“You are always perfect at killing with weapons. I know that I will be dead before I can break your neck.” Luther mumbled.

“Is that defeat I hear?” Roland asked.

“Although it angers me to admit it, I am a man of my word, and I like to play fair, so the girl is yours to keep. But one wrong move from her, and I will put her down even if you refuse. Now, how was the mission?”
