Chapter One Hundred Three

The sound of someone knocking on the door snapped me out of my thoughts. I was still standing in front of the mirror, which meant I had been lost in my memories of last night.

I checked myself again, cleared my throat before asking the person out there to come in. Though I wondered who it could be, deep down I know it’s either Mom or Theodore.

To my surprise, it was neither of them; Rowan was the one who poked his head inside. He smiled once he saw me before opening the door wider and walking in.

That’s when I noticed Luna in his hold, she was resting her head on his shoulder sleeping I guess.

“Hey,” he called out, drawing my attention back to him.

“Hey. I didn’t know you were stopping by?” I said with a frown.

I tried to remember him telling me he would stop by before going to work but I can’t.

“I didn’t tell you because I wanted it to be a surprise.” He winked and tapped Luna lightly on her back.

“Why are you here?” I asked and the tone I used wasn’t friendly at all.
