Chapter One

Ria's POV

Ding!

I rolled my eyes in utter disgust. I was just about to take a nap! Who the hell sent me a message?

I reached for my phone that I had tossed somewhere beside me a couple of minutes ago.

"Meet me at the hotel by 7P.M in the evening." I squinted my eyes reading the message I just received from my husband.

My cheeks reddened instantly and I stood up in high spirits. Turns out, he remembered my birthday! I was about to go to sleep after having such a bad birthday, but I guess my busy husband had a surprise for me after all!

It was just after six so I obviously didn't have much time. I sprang into action immediately. I ran to the bathroom to immediately take a quick shower.

After showering, my ass immediately sank into my room chair, where I faced my mirror to apply my makeup.

I stared at nothingness dreamily as I thought of the surprise he got me last year; a brand new car. I wondered what he had in store for me now. I couldn't stop blushing hard.

A glittery blinding red dress did the trick. It hugged my curves perfectly like a second skin. I couldn't help but admire myself. It was so perfect, in case he wanted to touch me.

I picked out a matching purse and wore my other accessories.

Getting married to my husband, Miguel, has been the best thing that has happened to me. We've been married for the past two years and I've been nothing but happy and fulfilled.

Our parents made me the happiest the day they made that deal!

'Why isn't he picking up?' I rubbed my head in frustration upon seeing the unanswered text and calls. I arrived at the hotel a couple of minutes ago and I was tired of waiting.

"Good evening Mrs Logan. You look so beautiful!" The receptionist who was standing at the counter greeted me with a huge smile on her face.

She was really familiar with me already, since I was married to their boss.

"Thank you very much! Can I have the master card?" I watched her face transition from happiness to a frown. What was that about?

"What is the problem?" I laughed nervously on seeing her reaction.

"I'm sorry, but I don't think I will be able to give you the card." She bit her lips, her eyes avoiding mine totally.

It annoyed me.

"I am the boss's wife! He knows about my presence. Do you want me to call him right now? You know that you could lose your job!" I yelled, true anger etched on my face as I spoke to her.

Guests poured in, and I hated the scene I was causing but how dare her speak to me in such a manner!

"I'm so sorry ma'am." Her voice wavered, her lips quivered as she shakily handed me the car. She looked nervous. The hell?

I walked away with the car, to our usual room. I knew he would be more than excited to see me, especially in my hot dress.

'You don't have to act too surprised.' I said to myself. I couldn't wait to see my guest. With a hand to my chest, holding my beating heart in place, I used the card to open the door and walked in.

All of a sudden, the air felt different. The bed wasn't in view since I would have to make a turn, but the loud giggles I heard made me stop in my tracks.

A woman's voice. It was definitely a woman's voice. Was I in the wrong room? I came out to check the room number. It was definitely this one, so who was that?

I took hurried steps inside the room and immediately I reached, everything I was holding crashed to the ground, alerting my husband and the woman.

They were naked, and he was on top of her. Worse, they were kissing before everything on me dropped.

I instantly forgot how to breathe. My heart race increased as I gulped down my saliva, while I hoped there would be a better explanation for what I had just seen. My hands were vibrating as I was starting to feel my chest tightened.

"What the hell are you doing here? Why didn't you tell me that you were coming?" He shouted with no sight of remorse or guilt in his eyes.

I couldn't even give him a reply! I couldn't move my mouth at all.

"I was the one who texted her. I was tired of keeping this a secret." The lady who I had met on top of him mentioned with a resigned frown.

Shock held me hostage the second I looked at her properly, and it turned out to be my step sister. I staggered backwards instantly, a hand to my forehead as I hit my back against the wall. I needed to gain my footing, but my legs weren't cooperating.

I tried to connect the dots, but nothing made sense.

"I was planning to let her know about it, you didn't have to call her this way!” Miguel raged bitterly and they ignored me totally.

My eyes finally brimmed with tears and I let them fall. My stomach twisted badly.

Harsh air wheezed in and out of my lungs as I took in their position. They didn't even acknowledge me.

"That is what you keep on telling me. Now she knows!" Priscilla folded her arms like she was the one in the right.

"Don't you have a guilty conscience? How could you do this to me?" I screamed, interrupting their little conversations.

"Is she talking to us? My step sister asked, sarcasm laced in her tone as she asked my husband.

“It seems like you don't know your class anymore."

I knew she hated me to the core, but I never expected it to be to this extent.

"Do you ever think I have loved you? You are so naive and it is pissing me off." He stood up from the bed, wearing his clothes which were littered on the floor.

"Let's find somewhere else to stay. I can't stand her presence." Miguel urged Priscilla, as she changed her dress right there.

I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me at the way they ignored me. They didn't even want my forgiveness. My chest tightened even more.

"You have to explain yourself. Why are you doing this to me?" I continued to yell angrily.

I held on to Miguel's arms as he tried to walk out but instead he pushed me after scornfully looking at me. He left with my step sister.

I winced in pain due to the pain I experienced from the fall. I couldn't go down this way!

There was no way he would humiliate me this way I would let him go! I grit my teeth.

I immediately ran after him but he had already entered the elevator which was leading to the last floor in the hotel.

After a few minutes waiting, I was able to take the elevator back to the last floor. I saw the both of them from after as they were walking towards the entrance of the hotel.

"Miguel!" I called his name so loud, diverting a lot of people's attention to us. He ignored me and acted like I didn't call after him.

I immediately got rid of a heel and watched as it hit the back of his head properly. I threw it at him with all my might. I went ballistic at that moment.

He stiffened, then immediately turned to face me and I watched him aggressively walk towards me, fueled by anger. I smirked, after all I caused it.

"What the hell do you think you are doing, woman!"

"Let's get divorced. You can have her all you want. That shouldn't be a problem, right?" I said snarkily. Those words caused a commotion at the hotel lobby.

Some were laughing and some were even recording what was happening.

He blinked, then stared at me like I was insane before erupting into a fit of laughter.

I stood, confused.

"You should be happy that I got to marry a piece of shit like you! You have never been able to satisfy me properly, neither have I been cool with this marriage. You are so bad at everything, literally!" His words cut through me like an exe to a wood, shards of my heart broken and in pieces.

Suddenly, the air shifted. What was I thinking? Confronting him in front of everyone? I immediately felt myself become small, under their judgemental gazes.

"I married a cheap slut like you and you should be grateful to me for the rest of your life. No one would want to sleep with a bitch like you!" He continued, making me shiver in fear.

What have I done to him to deserve this kind of treatment? He walked closer with that tasteless smirk on his face. I stood, unmoving as he stood behind me, then began to whisper hurtful things.

"You remember the deal we made years ago? Don't forget you are stuck with me no matter what, even if I cheat on you a million times, bitch."

  • My Ex-Husband's Brother    Chapter 168

Avia’s POV I watched him as he came out of the bathroom, water dripping down the lines of his body. Droplets slid across his chest and traced the curve of his shoulders before disappearing into the towel wrapped low around his waist. His hair clung to his forehead, damp and dark, as he dragged the towel across it carelessly. I wanted to ask him a thousand things. Why he let Brianne back into this house. Why he looked like the weight of the world was pressing on his shoulders. Why his eyes seemed clouded with something heavier than fatigue. But I couldn’t bring myself to speak. I knew better than to push him when he was like this. Would telling him about the child inside me change anything? The thought clawed at me. My fingers tightened around my phone as I sat on the bed, pretending to scroll. Brianne had told him the child wasn’t his, and yet he hadn’t reacted. He hadn’t flinched. If anything, his silence had told me everything I needed to know—that he wanted me by his side rega

  • My Ex-Husband's Brother    Chapter 167

Avia’s POV My body lay still beside his, but my mind wouldn’t shut off. Every sound—the ticking of the clock, the faint hum of the city outside, even the slow rhythm of his breathing—seemed too loud. My chest ached with a heaviness I couldn’t explain, a weight that pressed deeper with each passing second. By the time dawn broke, I had barely closed my eyes. Tristan stirred before me. His hand brushed lazily across my waist before he slipped out of bed. The sheets lifted, and the sudden absence of his warmth made me curl tighter into myself. I watched him silently through half-open eyes, the way he pulled on his shirt with quick, distracted movements. His jaw was set, brows pulled together in thought. He looked like a man carrying too much, and for a moment, I wanted to reach out and stop him. Ask him what was wrong. Demand answers to all the things he never says. But I didn’t. I stayed still until he left the room. The moment the door clicked shut, I exhaled shakily, sitting up

Tristan’s POVMorning sunlight leaked in through the half-drawn blinds, cutting sharp lines across the floor of my room. My head was heavy, still buzzing from everything that had happened yesterday. I rolled over, staring at the ceiling, but it wasn’t blank anymore—it was crowded with voices, accusations, and the kind of silence you never really forget.Brianne showing up at the house still didn’t make sense. Her voice, her face, that stupid photo in her hand—it was all glued to my mind like it had been branded there. I kept telling myself it couldn’t be true, that I couldn’t possibly be the father of her child. I had tried explaining that to Avia last night, fumbling over words like a guilty man even though she had stopped me halfway.“I know you wouldn’t do that,” she had whispered, her face soft in the dim light. “You don’t have to prove it to me.”Her faith in me should have been enough to calm my nerves, but it hadn’t. Because the truth was, I didn’t even trust myself anymore. Ev

Chapter — Avia’s POVThe air in the house was cold when I woke up, far colder than it had any right to be. My fingers brushed against the side of the bed where Tristan had slept last night, but all I felt was emptiness. His scent still lingered on the pillow, faint, stubborn, and painfully comforting. He had left without a word again.I sat up slowly, my heart twisting in a way I hated. How many times was I going to allow this cycle to repeat? He drew me close, whispered promises in my ear, and then vanished the moment morning came like everything he said was fragile enough to break with the sunrise. The silence was broken by soft footsteps outside the room. My entire body tensed. It wasn’t Tristan. • My Ex-Husband's Brother    Chapter 164

Chapter 164Avia’s POVI woke up to silence. The kind of silence that creeps into your chest and makes your heart beat faster because you know something isn’t right. Tristan’s side of the bed was cold, empty, as though he had been gone for hours. My hands brushed against the sheets, hoping I was wrong, hoping he had just rolled to the far end. But no.The alarm clock blinked red at me. 4:30 a.m.I sat up slowly, the duvet falling off my body, and my eyes roamed the dimly lit room. Something else was missing too—Brianne. The little snake who had wormed her way into our lives, always finding the perfect time to poison my peace. She wasn’t here.My stomach tightened. If Tristan wasn’t here, and Brianne wasn’t here, then where the hell were they?I tried to tell myself not to think the worst. That maybe Tristan had gone out for a walk, maybe Brianne had left to get water, maybe I was just being paranoid. But paranoia was better than naivety. I wasn’t naïve anymore. Life had beaten that ou
