80: What's Wrong, Winter?

WINTER:

My brows furrowed seeing the expression on my bodyguard’s face. “Hey. What’s wrong? You don’t like Nathalia?”

“I like Nathalia? Do you really have to ask that, Miss Winter? You know the answer already to that question,” he declared, not even bothering to hide the disdain on his face.

“Nathalia seemed nice.”

“She forces herself on someone who doesn't like her. She's completely different from you, Miss Winter.”

He grabbed my plates and utensils and washed them on the sink. After he was done, he put them on the sink rack.

“She's decent,” I pressed. “She has a nice job. Maybe she has an amazing personality knowing she's been working under Calcifer. That man is difficult to deal with, Hawk. But she was able to handle him perfectly fine. I believe whatever problems life will throw at her, she won't waver.”

His shoulders were tense even after the moment he returned to where I was sitting. Still, no words coming from his mouth.
