LOGINOlivia’s Pov
The faint, rhythmic hum of central air conditioning woke me.
I blinked against the harsh morning light filtering through unfamiliar sheer curtains, my head pounding with a heavy hangover. I shifted under the crisp white duvet, my body aching with a deep, unfamiliar soreness.
I sat up fast, clutching the sheet to my chest as panic sparked in my veins. The room was massive, bathed in golden morning light.
The cedarwood scent was still faint in the air, but Ethan was gone.
I rubbed my temples, the hazy memories of last night slowly flooding back—my desperate threats, his icy gaze, and the dark fire that had consumed the room.
As I turned toward the bedside table to grab my phone, my breath hitched.
Stacked on the mahogany nightstand were five thick bands of crisp hundred-dollar bills—at least twenty thousand dollars. Right next to the cash lay a sharp, heavy piece of cream cardstock.
I picked up the note with a trembling hand. Written in dark, razor-sharp cursive were just seven words: Never speak of this, or I'll ruin you.
I stared at the note, a cold ache settling in my stomach. Ruin me? He thought I was just some gold-digger or a blackmailer looking for a payday.
A heavy, bitter lump formed in my throat, but I forced myself to swallow it down.
"Whatever," I whispered, my voice shaking as I threw the note and the cash back onto the table.
I didn't touch a single dollar. I had gotten my revenge, even if it felt hollow now. I was completely done with the Blackwood family. I would never see Ethan again, never speak to Kelvin again, and finally move on with my life.
I threw on my clothes from yesterday, rushed back to my tiny rented room at Maya's, showered in record time, and put on a crisp beige blazer and trousers. It was already 8:30 AM. If I didn't hurry, I’d be late for my shift at Tiffany&Co Jewelry, where I worked as a senior line designer.
I sprinted through the glass doors of Tiffany&Co Jewelry at 8:58 AM, out of breath, smoothing down my lapels. "Morning, Sarah—"
My assistant didn't return my smile. She quickly ducked her head, shuffling papers on her desk.
As I walked down the main hallway toward my cubicle, the silence was deafening. Whispers broke out like wildfire. Colleagues leaned over computer screens, shooting me cold, disgusted side-eyes.
Two junior designers I usually ate lunch with turned their backs the moment I passed them.
My heart began to race. What was going on?
"Olivia!"
I whirled around. Mr. Gable, the branch manager, was standing in his office doorway, his face hard as stone. "My office. Now."
My stomach dropped into a bottomless pit. I followed him inside, closing the door behind me. "Mr. Gable, I'm sorry if I was two minutes late, the traffic—"
He didn't let me finish. He slid an official white envelope across his desk.
I blinked. "What is this?"
"Your termination letter," Mr. Gable said flatly, crossing his arms.
"Termination?" The word felt like a physical slap.
"Mr. Gable, I’ve hit every design quota for three years straight! My performance reviews are stellar—"
"Tiffany&Co Jewelry built its reputation on luxury, elegance, and purity," he interrupted, his tone chillingly professional. "We do not retain staff whose public morals bring disrepute to our brand."
"Public morals?" Panic flared hot in my chest. "I don't understand!"
"You've been unfaithful to your husband, Olivia," he said, turning a tablet on his desk toward me. "It’s currently the top trending article on every corporate tabloid in the city. Kelvin Blackwood filed for an emergency divorce yesterday after catching you in an affair."
A violent jolt of pure terror hit my chest. Did someone see me at Majestic Lounge? Did Ethan leak something?! Did they catch me with Ethan?! Cold sweat broke out across my forehead, my breath catching in my throat as absolute dread paralyzed me.
"The evidence speaks for itself," Mr. Gable barked, tapping the screen.
I forced my trembling eyes down to look at the tablet.
A grainy video was playing. It showed a woman in a low-cut red sequin dress inside a flashy hotel room, kissing a blurred-out man against a wall. The headline above it screamed: BLACKWOOD HEIR BETRAYED: OLIVIA BLACKWOOD EXPOSED IN HOTEL TRYST.
I stared at the screen, my mouth hanging open. The horror melted away, replaced by utter shock and disbelief.
The woman in the video had my face and my hair, but I had never owned a red sequin dress in my life. I had never been to that hotel room. It wasn't last night at Majestic Lounge. It wasn't Ethan.
It was a complete fabrication.
"This... this isn't real," I stammered, pointing a shaking finger at the screen as the truth hit me. "This is AI!”
Seven Years Later"Mommy, I don't want to stay in the hospital again," My baby's voice crackled through the phone, with a tired grumbling. "I want to go home. It smells like medicine here, and the beds are scratchy."I sank into my office chair, pressing a hand to my forehead as a sharp ache throbbed behind my eyes. "No, baby, the doctor said you have to stay for a bit. Your condition will get worse if you leave now, and Mommy needs you to get better.""But I feel fine now!" he protested softly. "I just want to play with my trains.""I know, my heart," I said, softening my voice to a soothing murmur. "Put the phone on speaker and give it to your nanny for a second, okay?"There was a heavy rustle on the other end before Elena’s warm, polite voice came through. "Ms. Olivia?”"Elena, how is he really?" I asked, dropping the light facade. "What did the doctor say when he came in for the rounds?"Elena sighed, stepping out into the quiet hallway so Vincent wouldn't hear. "The specialist s
I stared down at the two dark, bold pink lines, my knees buckling until I hit the cold bathroom tiles. The world felt like it was spinning completely out of control.Pregnant. With Ethan’s baby. The door unlocked and opened softly. Maya stepped inside, her eyes dropping to the plastic stick in my trembling hand. She gasped, kneeling next to me and wrapping her arms tightly around my shaking shoulders."Oh, Olivia..." Maya breathed, her voice cracking with pure empathy. "It's... it's Ethan's, isn't it?"I could only nod, tears silently streaming down my face.“Oh my God.” She gasped. My throat was dry as I stared at the lines, like it was going to disappear. "Olivia, listen to me," Maya said firmly, pulling back to look me straight in the eyes. "You have to tell him. Whatever happened between you two, forget it. This is his child. He's a billionaire, Olivia. He has power. He can protect you from Kelvin, and he has a right to know—""No!" I choked out, a wave of violent panic surging t
Olivia's pov I marched into the Blackwood Corporate Headquarters, my blood boiling so hot I could barely feel the ground beneath my feet."You can't go up there, ma'am!" the front desk guard called out, scrambling after me as I pressed the button for the executive elevators."Tell Kelvin Blackwood if he doesn't see me right now, I’m screaming the truth in this lobby until the police arrive!" I shouted back, tears of pure rage stinging my eyes. The guard frantically spoke into his earpiece, listened for two seconds, and let out a heavy sigh. "Floor 40. He'll see you."I rode the elevator up, my hands clenched into tight fists. The moment the doors opened on the top floor, I shoved open the heavy oak doors of Kelvin 's corner office.Kelvin was sitting behind his massive glass desk, casually sipping espresso as if he hadn't just destroyed my life."You sick, pathetic bastard!" I yelled, slamming my palms onto his desk. "An AI video? You framed me for cheating to cover up what you and E
Ethan's pov I stepped out of the private elevator and into my corner office, slamming the heavy double doors shut behind me.The silence of the room was oppressive, but it did nothing to quiet the chaotic storm raging in my mind. Opening the top drawer of my desk, I bypassed the whiskey bottle and reached straight for the pill, shaking out two distinct navy-blue capsules into my palm. I didn't bother with water; I just swallowed them whole, pushing down the familiar, bitter taste that had followed me since my early twenties.Just a precaution, I reminded myself, grimacing as I closed the drawer. The stress from the Australia expansion was already pushing my levels. I don't need a flare-up now.I leaned against the massive glass desk, unbuttoning my collar with a harsh, impatient tug, and stared out over the sprawling city skyline. I couldn't believe what had happened last night. After moving to Australia to avoid the torture of them being together in guise of expanding the family

Olivia's pov Three days after Kelvin signed the agreement, I left the house, finding solace in a hazy blur of silence inside Maya’s small guest room.I couldn't eat. I couldn't sleep. Every time I closed my eyes, the image of them on my bed flashed behind my eyelids. I sat on the edge of the twin mattress, clutching my knees to my chest, letting the tears silently soak through my sweatpants. On the third night, the door swung open, flooding the dim room with harsh hallway light. Maya stood in the doorway, her hands resting on her hips, her eyes full of painful, protective rage as she looked at my pale, hollow face."That is it, Olivia," Maya declared, her voice firm and unyielding. "I have watched you sit in this room, crying over those two absolute monsters for seventy-two hours straight. And I'm not letting that continue.""Maya, please..." I choked out, wiping my damp cheeks with the back of my hand. "I just... I need time.”"No, what you need is to breathe," Maya snapped gently,
