I quickly tried to run into the trees close to the border, there's a stream there so I can get a quick wash after I've done what I want to do and before anyone can realise or try to act I'd be long gone, but once I get to the stream I see Kyle there facing the water with his hands crossed on his chest looking into the river and I move to turn before he notices but he speaks before I can even turn.

"Adriana you know I can smell you, I knew you were coming here before you made it to this place, we're still linked remember"? why is he talking to me like that, like we're old acquaintances or something, is he drunk. "It seems Leila and your mother were right you were pregnant".

"I just want to bury my baby, please I promise I won't try anything, just let me bury my baby". I cry out hoping he buys the half lie and doesn't figure out the actual reason I'm out here. but I guess I overestimated him cause he actually believes and takes me across the pack border, at least I won't bury my baby in the pack grounds. he actually dug a hole with his claws and I put my baby in it. I don't know why he's doing this but it doesn't mean I've forgotten everything he did to me because if not for him my baby would still be alive and at that

moment thinking that I see red and I grab the rock closest to me and smack him in the head so hard he passed out.

If they didn't have anything against me before now they do. attempted murder of the alpha. I don't look back I run like hell, far away from there untill I don't feel the connection between us anymore then I look for a stick and rock since I don't have any claws or knives and I start scratching and trying to pluck out the mark in my neck. by morning I'm covered in blood, what's remaining of my shirt is soaked and sticking to my body. I think it's cause I lost a lot of blood but I'm loosing consciousness and I hope this place is far away enough from the pack that they won't find me.

While I'm blinking in and out of

consciousness I hear voices, I can't make out what they're saying but I'm just praying it's not Kyle and the rest of the moonfang pack that's found me. I used to think dying would be painful but right now I don't feel anything just numb and like I'm falling into a void, a very deep black void and the deeper I fall the voices fade.

I wake up in a room, wait no. I'm blinking my eyes rapidly now to be sure I'm not mistaken. I'm in a freaking cell and though it's better than where I was kept before, I check to make sure I wasn't dragged back to the moonfang pack and it's not it. but why did those people put me in a cell, I was bleeding to my freaking death, I thought I would die, I thought I was dying.

"Good you're up" a very mean looking behemoth of a man, no wolf is looking at me like he could be doing anything other than breathing the same air as me.

He opens the cell and tells me to get out in a very mean way, while I'm trying to push myself up I notice that my wound has been patched up and clean and there's a bandage on it, if I were a normal wolf it would have healed by now but because I'm so weak it's going to heal slowly like I'm human. on our way out I notice that their dungeon is empty and I try asking him questions on the way like who's the alpha, what pack is this, when can I leave and why was I put in a cell and not the hospital. but of course he doesn't even act like I'm beside him, he treats me like I'm a ghost.

Once we leave the dungeon we emerge in a canopy of trees and it's so beautiful it looks like a garden, a very large garden with a canopy of trees surrounding the clearing, you wouldn't think this is where they keep their prisoners.

Once we leave the clearing I can't help but look back, already missing the scenery. this is crazy I've been taken prisoner by a pack I know nothing about and I'm gawking at their garden like a fool, I should be plotting ways to escape by looking around for any loopholes they have but I've not seen any wolf loitering around and we just keep going straight, we're going straight into a thicket of bushes and I'm beginning to realize how utterly stupid I was to not put up a fight and calmly follow this brooding stranger into the forest where no one can hear my screams and I won't be able to put up a fight because of how small and weak I am.

My heart is beginning to sing again in fear that I'm going to get killed after I escaped death, I don't think a rock would do anything to this monster of a man, his arms are bigger than my head. oh noo I should have been more cautious and mapped the routes we were taking. I can't breathe, I think I'm dying again. I ca-- "Would you stop with all that wheezing it's getting on my nerves". he growls so loudly and I know it's now he's going to chew my head out, literally. I try to open mouth and talk but I can't, I fall to the ground and tears fill my eyes from the pain, why can't I breathe. I hear an "oh shit". and fastened footsteps and all of a sudden I'm lifted from the ground.

I think I'm being carried, I'm not sure but it smells so good and I just want to eat and lick the scent. now my breathing is stable but I'm starting to lose consciousness but even then I don't forget the scent of Ambergris and vanilla with a hint of cinnamon.

The morning sun, a gentle artist, spilled its golden hues across the sprawling courtyard of the Ironfang stronghold. It illuminated the dew-kissed stones, kissed the vibrant blooms in the carefully tended gardens, and, most importantly, warmed the faces of Adriana and Devon as they watched their children play. George and Georgia, now five years old, were a whirlwind of energy and laughter, their days filled with the joyful exploration of their world.George, with his father’s adventurous spirit and a mop of unruly dark hair, was attempting to scale a particularly sturdy oak tree near the main keep, his small hands gripping the rough bark. He’d reached a respectable height, his tongue poking out in concentration.“Careful, little pup!” Devon called out, his voice a low rumble of affection. He stood with his arm around Adriana, their bodies a comforting anchor for each other amidst the playful chaos.Georgia, mirroring her mother’s more thoughtful nature and possessing Adriana’s strikin

The air in the Ironfang stronghold crackled not with fear, but with a potent, rising hope. Adriana, standing before the gathered packs and the King’s own defecting guards who had heard the truth, felt the land thrumming with anticipation. King Theron, finally extricated from Elias’s suffocating influence by a brave contingent led by a deeply conflicted Valerius, stood beside her, his eyes clearer than they had been in years, though still heavy with regret.Elias, stripped of his false authority, stood defiant but alone. His final desperate act – ordering the Royal Guard to seize the twins under the King’s purported decree – had been thwarted not by brute force, but by the King’s own awakened conscience, spurred by Valerius’s intervention and the evidence of Elias’s manipulation. Valerius, remembering the conviction in Devon’s eyes and the disturbing nature of Elias’s orders regarding the twins (which felt more like an assassination plot than protection), had made a critical choice. I

The King’s chambers, once a symbol of regal authority, had become a gilded cage of paranoia. Elias, with Patricia’s subtle enchantments weaving a web of fear around Theron, had successfully twisted the King’s perception. The King no longer saw his grandchildren as heirs, but as vessels for Anya’s perceived vengeful spirit, a threat that whispered of his own inadequacy and the instability of his reign.“They are Anya’s eyes, Your Majesty,” Elias intoned, his voice smooth as polished obsidian, as he stood beside the King’s throne. “Every innocent glance they cast hides a prophecy of your downfall. The Ironfang Pack, in their misguided devotion to Anya’s memory, are only hastening the fulfillment of her supposed will.” He gestured towards a partially completed decree, an order for the immediate apprehension and ‘sequestration’ of the royal twins. The wording was deliberately ambiguous, cloaked in the language of protection, but the intent was clear.King Theron, his face etched with a te

In the heart of the royal palace, cloaked in gilded opulence and suffocating guilt, King Theron sat on his throne, a shadow of his former self. Elias, with Patricia by his side, had begun weaving their insidious narrative into the King's already fractured psyche. Patricia, using subtle enchantments and carefully chosen words, amplified the King’s deepest insecurities, conjuring visions that played on his fear of Anya and her destiny.“Your Majesty,” Patricia began, her voice a velvet caress laced with mystical undertones, her eyes reflecting a manufactured empathy. She gestured towards Theron’s trembling hands. “Anya’s spirit… it is restless. It has always sought to reclaim what it believes was unjustly denied. And now, it has found a vessel.”Theron flinched, his eyes darting around the throne room as if expecting Anya to materialize from the shadows. “A vessel? What do you mean, Patricia?”Elias stepped forward, his voice carefully modulated to project concern for the King, not ambi

Elias, seething at the subversion of his carefully laid plans, felt the ground crumbling beneath him. The Stonefurriers had slipped through his grasp, Valerius was wavering, and whispers of unrest within the capital city, ironically orchestrated by his own agents in a desperate attempt to quell dissent, were now echoing back to him as a threat. Patricia’s chilling suggestion – to weaponize the King’s deepest fears against the twins – preyed on his ruthless pragmatism. It was a desperate gambit, but one that might just consolidate his power if executed perfectly.“The King’s paranoia,” Elias mused, stroking his chin, a predatory gleam in his eyes. “He already feels Anya’s shadow looming over him, her prophecy a constant threat to his perceived legitimacy. If we can convince him that the twins, her direct descendants, are not just heirs, but active agents of her vengeful spirit, bent on usurthing his throne… then his own fear will become my greatest weapon.”He turned to Patricia. “You

The mountain pass became a testament to the Stonefurriers' resilience and the Greyclaws' strategic disruption. The Royal Guard, though initially gaining ground, found themselves faltering under the combined pressure. Adriana’s elemental surge, though distant, had sent a ripple of unease through the Royal Guard ranks, a subconscious reminder of primal forces that Elias’s magic couldn't fully suppress. Lyra’s Greyclaws continued their hit-and-run tactics, preventing the Royal Guard from overwhelming Borin’s delegation.Alpha Borin, seeing the Royal Guard captain’s hesitation and the growing disarray caused by the lingering tremors and the Greyclaw harassment, made his move. “We are not your enemies!” he bellowed, his voice carrying the weight of his pack’s respect. “We seek only to understand, to present Anya’s true vision! Elias’s decree is a tool of fear! If you value the King’s true well-being, and the future of this kingdom, you will let us pass!”The captain, caught between his ord
