Chapter 2

The car drove into a thousand-acre manor.

When the gates opened, I knew that my future would be as bright as gold.

The fake son, Theo, was preparing to leave with his luggage.

Mary hugged him. “Theo, you can’t leave. How would I live if you leave?”

Adam stopped him. “Theo, we raised you. No one will replace you.”

Theo frowned and pushed them away. He said, “Who says I’m leaving? I’m going on a business trip. It’s just that another person will be at home. I won’t chase him out.”

The words popped up before my eyes.

[This is blatant humiliation. James threw a tantrum in the past, and he was grounded for a whole week.]

[I bet Finneas wouldn’t even last for five minutes with his low IQ.]

Seeing that I did not say a word, Adam said impatiently, “We spent a lot of effort grooming Theo into our successor. Regardless of who’s joining our family, this fact will not change.

“If you’re unhappy about this…”

I immediately grabbed his arm and nodded obediently. “Theo is family. We’re actually twins. However, I was sent to the countryside for rehabilitation because I had poor health. After I got better, I was asked to return.”

After I said that, Adam and Mary looked at me pitifully and lovingly. Before they left, they gave me two more bank cards.

I was beyond delighted.

Theo led me to a bedroom.

The bedroom was meticulously decorated. It was even decorated in the style that I liked.

The closet was filled with a variety of clothes.

The table was filled with branded watches and accessories. They were worth a lot of money.

Theo crossed his arms and leaned against the door frame. “My bedroom is twice the size of yours. These watches are my rejects. Those clothes are not from the latest season.”

[It was during this time that James exploded and smashed everything in this bedroom. Adam and Mary were both very disappointed.]

[Theo did not have any bad intentions. He’s just arrogant. He specially ordered these for Finneas. He just didn’t want him to know.]

[Why are you siding with the fake son? If it weren’t for him, James wouldn’t need to be an orphan for twenty years.]

I buried my face in my arms and cried.

Theo was anxious.

“Crying won’t help. I’m the one who makes the decisions in this house. If you don’t like it, I’ll get someone to renovate this room, but your room can’t be bigger than mine.”

However, I gave him a big hug out of gratitude. “Theo, you’re too good to me. I have never stayed in such a good house. I’m very happy with everything here.”

Theo pushed me away in disgust.

“Enough. Why are you crying? This is ridiculous.”

However, his ears turned red from embarrassment.

He cleared his throat and said arrogantly, “Since you like these stupid watches, I have a lot more in my bedroom. I’ll consider it spring cleaning then. If you want them, go ahead and take them.”

After he said that, the butler came over with a box of branded watches and accessories. I was dumbfounded.

At night, I slept in my king-sized bed. The bed was covered in limited-edition Legos and watches.

I was eating imported cherries.

As I was enjoying myself, James called me.

“Prepare a million dollars for me. I’ll see you at a cafe tomorrow afternoon.”
