“Can you get more info about Adelar’s wife?” I asked, reversing out of the cafe parking lot.

Ghost typed the therapist’s address on the GPS. Her current residence was thirty minutes away.

“Sure,” Ghost was already on his phone. “What do you have in mind?”

I shrugged; the car was crawling out of the busy train station. “She died in a boat accident around the same year Benny started seeing a therapist. I want to know if Benny’s fear of the waters is connected to her somehow.”

“Huh,” Ghost sounded lost, not lifting his attention from his phone. “They had to be connected somehow,” he suggested.

I growled, hitting the car horn repeatedly. The pedestrians loitered the streets as if it was a fucking park. “I don’t know, Ghost. But I think it’s worth looking at. Benny said she doesn’t remember anything past high school.”
