They arrived at the grocery store. Kita walked to the area where the baskets were located. Speedwalking to catch up, Lyle told her he would love to push the basket. Gazing at him curiously, Lyle could see that she was trying to figure him out. "Trust me, I'm not trying to be strange, but I feel a gentleman would push the basket for a lady. It's just the way I was raised." Then he took the basket from her grasp and began rolling it away. He turned in her direction, smiling, and asked. "Which aisle do you want to go to first?" Puzzled and slightly impressed by him, Kita said. "Hmm...... Let's get vegetables and fruits first. Sir, what Country are you from?" Lyle chuckled. "Please call me by my name. I'm starting to feel very old and like I'm imposing myself on you." "You're not imposing at all. If you were at the hotel, I would refer to you as sir or Mr........" Lyle smiles, stating, “Your hands are so soft and small.” Kita ignores him and the tingling sensation she felt from this action. She takes the cold water and splashes his eyes, then places the towel in his hand. “You're okay now, Mr. Sever?” “Please, please, can you just call me Lyle once?” He said with pleading eyes, as before he dried his face and hands. “Okay, Lyle. Are you alright?” she asked with concern in her voice. “I'm doing a whole lot better now. Thanks for helping me. I can't cut up onions, but if you give me something milder like carrots or tomatoes, I promise I won't cry.” He said, grinning, showing her those excellent straight white teeth. Lyle finally got a genuine smile out of her. She handed him the colander of carrots and parsley leaves. He successfully chopped them up. They had salad and beef veal cutlets over parsley rice. When it was time to sit down at the table, he did his usual talking. Mentioning to her how much he was enjoying the meal and the iced tea.
