Chapter 2

Oliver Shi has been captured again.

  Yes, again.

Since he found out why Huo had dated him in the first place, he had tried to escape again and again. However, he was never successful at it. Every time he attempted to leave, he would be captured. Every time he was captured, he’d be punished more severely than before.

The first time he had escaped from the villa, Lucas Huo tied him to the attic and whipped him for three days. The second time, he hurt the Shi family business. Within three days, the stock price of their company fell and was on the verge of bankruptcy. His father knelt and begged him to go back to the Huo mansion, and announced publicly that he had disowned Oliver as his son.

This was the third time he tried to escape, and now Lucas Huo had his brother\'s leg broken.

Lucas Huo clearly knew that Liam was his one true weakness. The whole Shi family could burn in hell, as far as Oliver Shi was concerned. The only one in his family that he cared about was his brother.

He’s been with Lucas Huo for three years. Like a dog, he has always had feelings for him.

But Oliver Shi knows now that he is not even as good as a dog in Lucas Huo’s heart.

He\'s just a container for Jonathan Qiao\'s kidney transplant.

Oliver Shi sat on the ground, his red and swollen eyes couldn\'t cry. His wrists and ankles had all been tied with iron chains. At the slightest movement, a bell would ring, like a funeral song.

The door was opened with a squeak. Ren Fei came over with the document, squatted in front of him and spread it out. \"Sign it, Mr. Shi.\"

  \"What is this?\"

\"A consent form for organ donation.\" Ren Fei looked at Oliver Shi, and had no idea what to say. He hesitated for a moment and finally said, \"It\'s just a form. It doesn\'t have to go that far. Mr. Huo has been looking for a more suitable kidney donor for Madame. Maybe he will find one in a few days.\"

\"Madame?\" Oliver Shi laughed. \"Is Lucas Huo the one who made you call Jonathan Qiao that?\"

“No, I was the one who came up with that,” Ren Fei said curtly.

Oliver had been with Lucas Huo for three years. Whether they were inside the house, or out in public, Ren Fei always called him Mr. Shi. At first, he thought it was because of his status, in which case it was appropriate. But now, he knew that was because Jonathan was the “Madame,” the lady of the house.

Ren Fei silently pushed the file in his direction.

Oliver Shi glanced at the document. When he saw the name of the recipient on the last page, he knew it was signed “Jonathan Qiao” but the handwriting was different.

He could not be more familiar with this handwriting. There was not one muddy stroke. It looked very grand and majestic, just like that man who had written it.

His chest hurt, and Oliver Shi held back his tears. Afraid he might wet the paper with his tears, he moved his head back.

His own penmanship, which has usually neat, was nearly illegible.

Ren Fei put the documents away. As he turned around and left, he reminded Oliver, \"Mr. Shi, you know that you can\'t escape. If you behave, we will treat you well.\"

Oliver Shi stared back at him. \"Uncle Ren, do you know what it\'s like to wait for death?\"

Day after day, each breath he took brought him closer to the last!

After finding out about Jonathan Qiao\'s existence, Oliver Shi was terrified. Everyday he was afraid that tomorrow he will be put on the operating table. His kidney would be gouged out alive. He was afraid that he will be alone and there will be no one to mourn even when he dies.

He’s also afraid that it will all be in vein, that the person who would receive it was going to leave Lucas Huo anyway.

He was afraid that he wasn’t even dead yet, but he was as good as dead to Lucas.
