Anna didn't go home that day. She couldn't

sit on a metal bench outside the

hospital. She sat there for so long, the bath

began to feel numb.

People walked past her like she did not

exist.

Everybody was going about their daily activities

but her mind remained in one place.

She pressed her fingers on her chest lightly.

She heard the sound again, whir click whir.

It wasn't as loud as before but she could

still hear it.

"This is not normal," she whispered to herself.

She stood up finally and forced herself to

move. She could not deceive herself that she was fine. Not anymore.

She was going to search for the truth

herself.

Meanwhile, in the city, Adrian stood in his

office. In front of a large glass wall where He could see the city.

His hands were pressed against his chest.

He felt find a very strange He remembered

the strange feeling he felt when she walked

past him. The moment his heart reacted.

"Sir." Michael stepped into the office.

"Did you find her," he asked while remaining

in That same position.

Michael hesitated. "We are working on it. The

hospital is not releasing full patient records."

Adrian finally turned. He looked at Michael

without blinking.

"You don't need to ask them."

"Yes sir." Michael straightened.

Adrian walked slowly to his desk. His

hands still remained in his chest as he

remembered the reactions that occurred in the

heart.

"I need everything. Name, Address, Medical

history."

Michael nodded.

"Sir..." he added, "Why is she important??"

Adin's expression darkened.

He moved his hand back to his chest and said quietly

"Because This heart... does not react to reason."

Anna got home late. Her place was very quiet. She even stood at the door for some time before she eventually stepped inside.

Everything looked the same but it all felt different. Her mother was gone.

Anna dropped her bag on the floor, and sat slowly on the sofa.

Her chest tightened again. And this time the pain came suddenly.

"Ah..." she shouted.

The sound became louder. And it was faster than usual.

"Stop... please". Tears filled her eyes.

"This is not normal... not normal." she said quietly. After some time, it stopped. At This point, her whole body was shaking. Something was definitely wrong with her and deep down, she knew one thing. The hospital was lying.

The next morning, Anna returned to that hospital. She went in search for answers. She headed straight to the nurse at the reception. "I need my full medical records," she said.

The nurse smiled. "You will have to apply for that, but it will take some t..."

"I need it now," Anna said sharply.

The nurse's smile faded. "That's not how it works."

Anna drew close to the nurse. "look... My mother died here and something is wrong with me. So please... I can't wait."

"I will call someone," The nurse said finally.

Upstairs, inside the doctor's office, a man dropped a file on the table.

"They are asking questions already," he said. A dark skinned man who sat behind the desk, calm and unpredictable, he seemed like the doctor.

"Which one?" he asked.

"The donor."

The doctor then spoke.

"She is not supposed to be a problem."

"Well... She is and there is something else." The first man said.

"What?!"

"The Wolfe Group is also asking questions?" The doctor's eyes narrowed. "Adrian Wolfe?"

There was silence for about two five minutes.

The doctor said quietly, "Watch her closely."

Anna waited in the reception downstairs.

Her eyes moved around the hospital slowly.

That medicine smell made her feel

really uncomfortable.

Her chest tightened again.

This time, it wasn't painful. She just had

a feeling, like a force.

Her facial expression changed and she

turned.

She saw him. Adrian. He was standing

across the hallway, watching her.

His tall figure stature was peculiar to

Anna.

"The same man from yesterday."

At that exact moment, her chest reacted.

Whirr... Click... whirr....

Anna grabbed her chest. "What...." That same pull

Adrian felt it too but he did not

move. His eyes remained on her. There

was no doubt now. It was her.

Anna became afraid. She stepped back

a bit. Something about him felt

dangerous.

She turned quickly and walked away as fast as she could. Adrian watched her go.

"Michael"

"Yes, Sir." Michael replied.

"Find her."

Anna continued walking until she got outside. Her heart was still beating fast.

"Why... why does this keep happening? Why him?"

She turned back slowly, looking at the hospital.

"I'm going to find out the truth no matter what".
