There was no way Chase was dead. He couldn't be, right?

I closed my eyes, hoping this was just a nightmare. It will soon be over once I open my eyes again.

But I was wrong because Chase was still lying on the ground, covered in his own blood when I opened my eyes. I touched him again. His skin was turning cold. So I did lose him forever.

It was my fault he was dead.

His gun was lying right beside him, so I snatched it off the floor.

"Really? Do you think you can shoot me after what you just witnessed?" Chase's father laughed.

"How can you laugh after killing your own son? Don't you have any conscience at all?" I cried out. "Don't you feel sad for losing your only son?"

"Of course I do. I loved my son," he snarled.

Funny way of showing it.

"Like you said, he was my only son. He was supposed to be my successor and take over my business. But he betrayed me by trying to pick your side instead of mine. And I would rather have a dead son than a traitor son."
