"Who sent you that picture?" This is what he said next. I removed his grip on my hands.

"Don't answer me another question, Lucas," I said coldly.

"The woman in the picture is my step-sister, Sanya. The baby? That's my niece, Charmaine. That's her daughter." Somehow my heart slowed down after I heard him say these words, but there was still a bigger part of me that doubted.

"Step-sister? You have a sister outside? You didn't tell me that, Lucas." He sighed and rubbed his temple slowly. I bent down slightly and tried to follow his gaze, because I wanted to see if he was really telling the truth.
