Chapter 13: Confrontation

As I arrived at London Station I immediately found a taxi driver to take me to the building where Lucas is staying. During the trip, I was constantly squeezing my palm. A few minutes later I arrived and immediately paid for my ride. I adjusted the bag on my shoulder while looking up at the building in front of me despite the strong sunlight.

Every step I took made my heart beat faster. The closer I got to Lucas the more nervous I grew. After about a minute of me walking in circles around the building, my nerves were shot and I had no choice but to go in and ask for him.

"May I ask where I can find Lucas Rodriguez?" I asked nervously as I stepped inside the lobby. The receptionist smiled at me after looking back at me again after looking at the computer in front of her.

"Yes ma'am, he's currently in room 3." The receptionist pointed the way.
