I was not just blushing but happy that my tricks worked. I smiled softly and said, "What are friends for? You can always count on me."
He swallowed his food and spoke, "Thank you for the gesture. When will she resume the training?"
On hearing the gender of the new employee, I had butterflies in my stomach. To cover up my disappointment, I picked up a glass of water and began to drink it while he continued to eat.
At that point, I came up with a suitable answer for him.
"Oh! I thought you employed a male miner."
"Not at all. She is a clerk for one of my managers," he explained.
"It's okay. I will help when you employ a miner," I said conclusively and he accepted my proposal.
We continued to eat but my appetite was affected. To avoid his questions, I ate all the same and he suspected nothing.
It was not a bad search even though I could not find Julius. At least, I chatted with an old friend and caught up with the past. I returned to the office and my men were scared to death when they saw me.
After I drove in, they held an emergency meeting on how to find Julius.
"One of you will go to Westminster in the morning," the CSO declared.
The others focused on him and he explained, "He must have gone there out of desperation."
"That would not change anything. He won't be employed," another person said.
"I am aware. But he must have dropped his application letter. All we need is his contact."
"That would be nice if they would release his information to us," another staff member stated.
Despite the vagueness of their plans, they agreed to harness that area.
The Bar And Resort
I saw some patronizers sitting in groups. Some were with children who were celebrating their birthdays while some were having one meeting or the other. The atmosphere was relaxing and serving them was not tasking.
Nevertheless, we took part in the celebration, and it made me love the work. The children were no doubt from the elite families. They paid the designated f*e for bringing in outside food and cakes while we supplied the drinks, popcorn, and music. They closed before 6 PM and greased our palms with many tips.
"This is good," I told one of my colleagues smiling from ear to ear.
"You have not seen anything. With the time tips, we don't use our salaries for anything but to save it," he informed me.
"Really?" I asked him in astonishment.
"Yes. That is why no one resigns."
"I was lucky then to have been employed."
"Too lucky. I guess you were considered because one of us is sick."
"I got it," I said not bothered what would become of the sick staff if he returned.
Afterward, we began to arrange the place for the night crawlers who always sit in twos and in the dark.
When we were through, I returned to Andrea, and he complimented me, "You are a hard-working boy, Julius."
I was not expecting it but I appreciated him all the same, "Thank you for the compliment, Andrea. I promise to do more."
"You are welcome. Don't be bothered about the fights. It happens often," he encouraged me.
"I won't. I will only stand by and entertain myself with a live movie," I said with a silly grin.
He laughed softly and said, "That is the spirit."
We continued with the mixing of the drinks. Soon, the orders began to come in from the waiters. We attended to their requests. When it overwhelmed them, the supervisor asked me to help out.
"Attend to tables forty and forty-one," he instructed me.
"I got it, Andrea," I said and carried their stuff according to the order.
As I was going, I heard the security guard say, "Stop it."
I was attracted by that and looked at the tables. The two male occupants were arguing sharply and were about to exchange blows.
I ignored them and faced my direction. Despite the darkness, I was able to recognize my father. He was alone at table fifteen and had yet to order anything.
'Shameless man,' I cursed him and moved on.
When I got to table forty, the two male occupants were happy with each other and wished that I should do my work and leave them at once. To hasten my departure, one of them slipped some cash into my pocket. I appreciated him and walked to table forty one.
A frantic woman was sitting alone and angry with her phone. Probably, her partner was late for their meeting. She mumbled her response to my greeting and I walked away after serving her.
On my way back, I saw my father with the old woman and Felicia. They seemed to be on the same side and against my father.
"Huh!" I exclaimed and walked away quickly.
Before I got to the bar, I heard Felicia's voice, "What do you mean by I will regret it, Mark? I only asked for a refund and you spew nonsense."
"I don't know what you are talking about. You interrupted my services yesterday," my father tried to defend himself.
My colleagues were busy, but their attention was on the three. I wished to hang around but Andrea may need me.
From the look of things, my father was not there for any of them and they were trying to disrupt his appointment. At that point, his client for the day arrived and was resentful of the two.
As though they were not there, the lady in her mid-twenties crossed her hand on my father's shoulders, kissed his temple, and greeted him, "Good evening, Mark."
He adjusted the only seat for her and she sat down. Likewise, he returned the gesture and responded, "Good evening, Dear. How was your day?"
The two women felt slighted. Before she could respond, Felicia revolted by asking my father, "Did you hear me, Mark? Where is my refund?"
The new lady was not aware of their fight but she must not be disturbed. She glared at them and looked at my father. He appeared like a victim. "Wait for me. I will get your refund," the new lady said and got up. They watched her as she walked away. The two women pouted and began to wait while my father called out, "Waiter."I was with Andrea when the waiter brought the order. Apart from the drinks, he ordered pre-cooked meats like rotisserie chicken and salads. He dropped it and ran off with the other orders."It's time to show your skill, Julius," Andrea said and ordered me to mix the drinks.I was elated and did that quickly. He was impressed with me and praised me, "You're the best. Quickly, serve table fifteen.""I got it Andrea," I accepted the task and got everything ready. I carried the orders and walked out of the bar. I was heading to the table when an idea flashed through my mind."It is easy to poison him," I thought and walked on.I got to the table and began to serve
I smiled as well and answered her, "You got it, Mom," avoiding telling her that her husband's client was one of them."I see. Always be a good boy. Obey and respect your bosses and customers. Did you get me?""I got you, Mom."I left her room and returned to mine. As usual, Milo tagged along. After changing my clothes, I went for my breakfast. Milo was admiring me as I was eating and I felt bad. I have not celebrated my new job with him."My bad, Milo. I will get some delicacies for you," I promised him.In appreciation, he elongated his neck towards me and I rubbed his head. Afterward, I went to my room to sleep. I woke up for lunch, but my father was not back. Westminster The King was happy with the projects and he did not hide it. After our discussion the previous day, I overheard him boasting to someone over the phone that his kingdom would be the most powerful and the richest.I laughed within myself and pretended not to hear him. He sent for me before lunch and I knew his reas
"Kindly take us away from your list," I informed him."I will do that right away," he promised me and I appreciated him. After the call, my father asked me, "Why did you not introduce yourself as the Prince?"I smiled and explained to him, "He would like to give me preferential treatment, and I will not be free to learn everything I need to learn.""That's intelligent of you," my mother said with a broad smile."You are a worthy prince. Keep it up," my father complimented me."Thank you for the compliments, Mom and Dad," I appreciated them.To make them happy and avert their attention from my intentions, I spent a longer time with them. Afterward, I left them and returned to my chamber with a heavy heart. Meanwhile, Celestine and the rest were through with their meal and returned to their duty posts. My knight did not suspect anything. Therefore, I walked into my room quietly and began to mourn my disappointment."Shouldn't he have sought my opinion before taking that decision?" I
The Bar And Resort I did not encounter any delays in the sim card registration center. I left after ensuring that the registration was all right by calling my sister. She was happy to hear my voice and I was happy to hear her voice as well. After the pleasantries, I appreciated her again, "Thank you, Big sister, for the gift. You sacrificed a lot to get this for me.""It is my pleasure. How is Mother?""She is fine.""That's good to know. Be a good boy. Okay?""I will. See you later."I got to work before every staff member and sat in the foyer to call my mother.Apart from my sister who called often to check on her, her phone hardly rang. She suspected that it could be me and picked up the call."Hello, Son," she greeted me."You guessed right, Mom. I just want to let you know that I have completed the registration," I informed her."That is good. Have you called your sister?""Yes, Mom.""That is nice of you.""It's okay, Mom. See you later."After the call, I began to wait for An
I continued to brainstorm how to find Julius. Suddenly, an idea flickered across my mind."Job fair!" I said to myself. It is an event where employers and recruiters come together to connect with potential employees; job seekers like Julius would be happy to be there. Instantly, I came up with a modality."The event will be held at a neutral place. He will not come if I organize it in my gold field," I concluded and got up from the couch.Johnson looked up from his device and watched me as I walked back to my seat. I picked up a piece of paper and began to write down my plans while he concentrated on his phone."The event will be called, Job Fair For Potential Gold Field Workers. Venue, The Local Bar And Resort. Date, Wednesday, 3rd to Friday, 5th December."I was pleased with my ideas and called my General Manager. He was a dutiful staff that was a few years older than me. A few minutes after the call, he was in my office. At that point, Johnson looked up and remembered that it was
"Good. Remember to separate the event from us. It must not be associated with our gold field. Otherwise, the job seekers will wear us out.""You told me that earlier. I will work on the cost of the program and get back to you.""It's okay. Hasten things up. If you need my advice, do not hesitate to come to me.""It is all right, Boss. I will be on my way.""It's okay."He left afterward and I was happy."Spending to get the person I love won't be a bad business," I concluded and went back to work.Suddenly, my phone rang. I looked at it and was surprised to see the caller."He just left," I asserted, furrowed my brow, and picked up the call."Hello, Johnson. What's up?""I called to inform you that I am back in my office. Thank you for the lunch."I felt disturbed but controlled myself and responded, "That is good to know.""See you later," he said."It's okay. Later," I said and he ended the call.I looked at my phone and said to myself, "Is he supposed to do that? Maybe I have lost
"I'm getting well. If I am busy with work, I will heal faster," she explained. She was right. Staying inactive for a long time can have detrimental effects on both physical and mental health. I sized her up and discovered that she was truly getting well. The injuries that my father inflicted on her had healed and the scars were unnoticeable."Where are the jobs? Besides, who would employ a weak woman?" "I will get one if I go out. I am a strong woman. Losing my job led me to lack a sense of purpose and unfulfillment in life. If I begin to work, I will regain my sense of worth."I recalled that she told me some time ago that if she is well she will become a gigolette. Without mincing words, I asked her, "Do you mean if you begin to work as a gigolette and father won't have to rub his shameless acts on your nose."She seemed to have forgotten that she said that and was ashamed of herself. We were calm for a while before she put herself together."You have to believe me, Son. I never m
"Thank you for your time," I said and moved to the other seller. We asked for the cost of his drinks and he happily informed us."Did you brew the drink by yourself?" Celestine curiously asked him."No. I am selling it for my master," he answered him.He collected two bottles from him and paid. Meanwhile, Philip was in front of another seller. I laughed inwardly when I noticed that he carefully avoided the girls and stood before a male seller. We joined him afterward, stood aside, and watched him as he spoke with the seller."Where did you get your supplies from?""I brewed it by myself," he answered him proudly and we were pleased."Really? How do you do it?"He was uncomfortable to disclose the technique he used in manufacturing his product. He looked at his neighbors, who were waiting to hear him speak before he looked up."I would rather not say," he replied shyly.Philip smiled and stated, "I was only kidding you. No prudent merchant would leak his trade secrets."The seller smil
Mr. Zenith's Office After the call, I was relieved to know that he was not angry with me. Having settled that, I joined the Zoom meeting. My contribution during the meeting was apt and it marveled many people. Previously, I would be quiet and listen to other speakers. Sometimes, I would be lost in thought. That day was no different. I was alert throughout. They were happy with my ideas, which would help the young miners to grow, while I was happy with the healing that Julius had brought my way.The meeting ended by 12 noon. I rested for some time while monitoring the training at the resort. A few minutes later, I left for Johnson's office.Westminster We were happy that we found a perfumer and vintner but there was a hitch. They had no traveling documents."What do we do?" I asked my team members."I suggest that we should contact Brian. He may know what to do," Philip proposed."I agree with you, Philip," Celestine pointed out."That is a good thing to do. I will call him right awa
Just like a vapor, his thought disappeared from my mind and I continued to rest. My mother returned from the training with an untold joy. She was connected with an employer. Out of the two hundred participants, she was the only one qualified for the job. Or the only one willing to take the job. Her nursing background was an added value. It requires a woman who would be with an aged woman throughout the night. The other women rejected the offer because of their families but my mother was willing to do it."Wow! This is interesting. What is the pay like?" I asked her at once."I have not asked but I guess that it would be interesting. Besides, I won't be idle," she answered me happily."You are right. Congratulations.""Thank you for the compliment. You made it happen," she responded."It is my pleasure.""I have a take home assignment. I will handle it after I have rested.""It is all right."The Bar And Resort Clement did not leave the resort when we left. He stayed back just to atte
The Human Resources Department We were aware that our president was a slave driver but that day, we lacked the right adjective to qualify him. Nevertheless, we were consoled that he was with us in the office, and it inspired us. Presently, we had gotten the details of one thousand two hundred and were hopeful that we would be through before 8 PM.Johnson's OfficeThroughout the chat, I was sexually aroused and was happy about that. At one point, I was stroking my manhood and cherished the pleasure. I wished that the call should continue but I had to let Reuben go home. Nevertheless, I was ecstatic when my phone rang, and I looked at the caller."He is calling me," I said and picked up the call with glee."Hello, Reuben. What's up?"He hesitated for a while before he responded, "Oh! It is a mistake."He cut the call at once and I was fulfilled. I presumed that it was not a mistake but he wished to continue to hear my voice. I fixed my eyes on the phone and allowed my tears of joy to p
I was twenty-five years old, and Edna, twenty-three years was happy to be my girlfriend. She expected everything that a boyfriend and girlfriend do to take place between us but she was disappointed. Some of our friends got married and began to have children, but she could not say why I was not talking about marriage or children. Unknown to her, our relationship was just to be accepted by society. In fairness to her, she lacked nothing. I provided everything she needed and ensured that her parents and siblings were comfortable.Reuben's appearance brought out my real sexual identity. I admired him and wished to kiss and have sex for the first time. Edna's call came in at that point. Since, then, I have been avoiding her. She had sent messages to me and visited me but I instructed my men to lie to her that I was out of town.I don't know Reuben's sexual identity, but I was aware that Denise had a thing for him, just like me."Will he agree to love me back?" I often asked myself.Neverth
The Bar And Resort I was happy to hear the supervisor saying that there would be a job fair in our resort."The organizers are recruiters for big companies. Therefore, we will be busy for the next three days.""That is good to know. Can we inform our friends and relatives to apply?" I asked him."Of course, you can. That is why they are spending so much to train job seekers to be employable.""Thank you for informing me," I appreciated him.We went about our businesses without hitches. However, it was as though, a day would not pass without any form of drama. At a dark corner of the resort, there was a serious fight between two men over a lady. I was not interested because I had not seen my father for some days. Andrea was not interested as well. After a while, one of the men left and there was calmness.I was assisting the waiters when the man returned with two policemen. "Look at them, Officers. They beat me up," the man explained and the police arrested the man and the woman."Yo
