Kira's pov.

I jolted out of bed, panting as I looked around.

"No, no! You're so stupid!" I banged my head against my palms as I complained. I wasn't supposed to have fun with my sister's murderer, but the deed was already done.

His touch, and lips made me quaver, wanting more. He was my mate after all, and resisting him was practically almost impossible.

I was sure that if he was in the room, I wouldn't have been able to face him due to the indecent words I moaned out last night.

I tried my eyes to the door where I heard a knock.

"Ma'am, can I come in? The alpha asked me to take care of you, and prepare you for breakfast."

The voice sounded gentle, and made me willing to welcome her in.

"Come in," I spoke, covering myself up with the duvet. I still felt tingles in-between my legs, and tried to hide it by playing normally.

"Good morning," she greeted with her head lowered, and immediately went to the bathroom to prepare the bath for me.

Once she was done, she came out, and getured for me to go into the bathroom.

Soon, I was done with my bath, and I wore the clothes she had brought in for me. Then I followed behind as she led me to the dinning hall.

I gasped when I saw two identical people sitting opposite each other.

"Shocked?" He asked with a smile, while he fixed his eyes on me.

"Alpha, you didn't tell me you were--"

He interrupted me by chuckling, pushing himself up from the chair before he moved towards where my feet were planted.

"Call me Alec, and that's my brother Adam. As you can see, we are twins."

I gulped down the nervousness I felt, nodding to his words as I dabbed my tongue against my dried lips.

He didn't mind my reaction. Instead, he helped me take a seat.

"What would you like? If you don't like what's on the table, then I could tell them to make you another," he said with a smile, but I just shook my head. I was okay with whatever was served on the table

After breakfast, he spoke to me.

"I won't be available today, so I hope you don't mind my brother watching you? I feel you both need to bond," he added at the end.

Then he turned to Adam who seemed to be nose deep in his meal.

"Adam, would you watch over her for me?"

Adam sighed, almost like it was a burden, but he finally agreed to do Alec the favour.

Once Alec had received his assurance, he left the dining hall, and as soon as he stepped out, Adam got up. He stared at me with a serious gaze, which made me shiver in fear.

"Come with me."

There was something about him that made my skin crawl, I didn't know why, but my wolf didn't sit well with him.

However, within a matter of minutes that we strolled together, he became free with me, talking about his brother nonstop.

"Kira, I'm sorry about your sister?" He spoke his thoughts out, making me pause. Tears were about to flow out of my eyes, but I blinked them away.

"I'm also sorry if what I said triggered anything, but luckily, i know what would cheer you up," he announced at the end.

"Really?" Adam caught my attention the moment I heard he had a way he could cheer me up.

"Yes. Let's go watch Alec's baby pictures. I'm sure that would be enough to snap you out of your negative thoughts. I kept some of the pictures in my room,"

He replied, sizing me from head to toe.

I found it strange that the pictures would be in his room, but I chose to clear my head over my insecurities. Besides, he was the one assigned to care for me, and I still needed to find out more about the death of my sister. I knew one of them was guilty, but who?

Once in the room, I heard him secure the door behind me, and my heart drummed hard. My throat went dry, and I closed my eyes with my hands fisted as I prepared to face him.

"So where are the pictures!" I tried to sound excited when I turned to him, forcing a smile on my face, but he chuckled darkly.

"I can't believe you're so naive," he said amidst his laughter.

"There were no pictures. All this was part of my plan, I can finally have you. In my arms. All this while, I have scented an omega, and I can finally have you!"

The craziness in his eyes got me scared, and I gulped. Confusion was still evident in my eyes.

"W-what do you m-ean?" I stammered, making him shake his head.

"You're prettier than your sister. Yet, you aren't smart enough to get the memo. I'll have you the same way I had your sister!"

At that point, everything clicked, and tears gathered in my eyes.

"You, you are the murderer!" I struggled to speak as I tried to process all he had said. All along, I had been blaming the wrong person, my mate wasn't the Killer, his twin was.

"How do we do this? Take of your clothes nicely, or..." He trailed off, leaking his lips in an irritating manner. However, all he got from me was a hard glare.

"Never!" I grinded my teeth together, fisting my hands angrily. Now that I knew he was the killer, I could finally avenge the death of my sister.

Before I could think, he charged towards me, lifting me up from my lap, and slamming me on the bed.

"Be a good little omega just like your sister was!" He yelled while I groaned due to the impact of the landing.

I tried to roll out of the bed, but both his hands were guarding my sides so I couldn't move.

My breaths came out in my pants, and I could clearly see his intentions as I continued to struggle.

"Let me go, you bastard!" Veins popped out of my head, and my neck as I screamed, trying to push him away, but he was too strong.

Tears trialled down my eyes when his nose rested on my nape in an attempt to sniff me.

"Get off me you bastard!" I yelled, kicking him on the balls which caused him to growl loudly.

The moment he let me go, I rolled down the bed, and rushed towards the door.

"Come on, come on!" The need to open the door became my priority, but no matter how hard I pulled, and twisted, the door wouldn't budge.

"Looking for this?" He questioned, causing me to turn towards him, and at that moment, I could tell it was over for me.

The keys dangled in his grip, and there was a tight smirk on his lips.

"You're not going anywhere," he huffed, placing the keys in his pocket.
