‘I’m so sorry I dint know you were a parent, I will help myself out, thank you’ I said

‘ wait’ he said, I turned back looking at him for an explanation.

‘you have misunderstood, this is not my child’ he said pointing to the innocent kid who was standing there hugging his leg. How could a parent be so cruel neglecting their child to flirt with someone?

Although I never judge the book by its cover, but this man was a flirt, how could he neglect the baby for another women when he knows he has a wife waiting for him. My brother was right, men are all flirts.

‘ I really respected you, sir, but how could you neglect your child to flirt with another woman, you should be a responsible father, children will always look up to their parents, you should never do these things anywhere and especially in a kindergarten…..look at the cute innocent kid, how could you even think of abandoning him’ I said furiously walking away.

‘Wait Miss’ he said

‘I am seriously going to complain to the head about your wrongdoings as a parent’

‘You passed’ he said

‘What’

‘The interview, this was a test to see if you would flirt with the parents or not’ he said

‘ But why a test like this’

‘Over the years we received a lot of complaints about how teachers are trying to seduce the parents or the reverse, so we were looking for an honest employee who would care for the child’s interest more than her own, and you seem to have impressed me with your sense of thinking, you can start working tomorrow’ he said.

Damn, he’s my boss I am so screwed. I blew him up. I have to apologize.

‘I’m sorry sir, I dint know you were testing me …I’m sorry’

‘It's fine, I know you are honest’ you can go back today and start from 9:00 pm sharp tomorrow. The recruitment procedures will be handled by him, his name is rock. If you have any doubts about the working hours or salary you can contact me.’ he said

‘sir may I know your name’ I asked. It always smart to be on the good side of your boss.

‘Blake, Blake Arston. You can call me Blake’ he said with a wink.

Rock guided me towards a room, where all the formalities were finished. I had to sign a contract for 1 year if breached a fine of 10 billion had to be paid’ that was too much!!! I asked rock if there were any possibilities where he could reduce it, but he refused to reconsider.

‘Are you a permanent or a temporary resident’ he asked ‘Temporary, we’ll be moving out after my brother finishes college’

‘How long is that?’

‘2 years’

‘ hmm okay, you will be given a salary of 1 million a month’ he said. Hearing the amount I was shocked. Nobody would pay so much for a kindergarten teacher no matter how much the school exploits the parent's money.

‘ I guess there are too many zeroes here’ I said pointing out to the salary.

‘If you’d like we could add more’ he said. I do not know whether they are rich billionaires or imposters.

I signed the contract and he gave me a copy of it. Rock was more of a studious student like me. The way he carried himself said it all. But he was nowhere compared to the charming Blake I had just met. As I opened the main door to leave. I was greeted by Blake, who insisted on walking me out.

Somewhere deep inside me, I was relieved that he wasn’t married yet. Although I scolded him about his misconduct with the kid, I still can’t deny the fact that I was attracted to him. My heart beat rises every time I look at him. I had to control myself.

Looking at him, he might be having 1 or 2 girlfriends. Although he looks like the sincere type, who knows what lies beyond those well-polished suites. No matter what this is not love….just a fleeting crush, I tried convincing myself.

He was talking about the life he was leading here. I got to know that he was the owner of Starel company where my father worked. It is one of the top most leading companies in software design, gadgets and electronics. I remember Kavin telling me that this was the dream company he wanted to work in.

I can’t imagine that I’m talking the owner. It seems like a dream. But why was he leaving here in the country side was something I wanted to ask. But, we weren’t close enough to talk about personal matters yet. So I passed it off.  We had a long chat before I heard my brother’s honking.

‘I’m sorry I’m running late. I’ll go now…it was nice meeting yoooo..’ I was caught off-guard when he hugged me with great strength I couldn’t pull out from. My blood pressure was rising in rocket speed, don't even get me started with my heartbeat and now I was scared that he would hear it. I had to cool myself down ‘umm….Blake ….Blake are you okay, are you not feeling well’ I asked him, trying to push him away.

But I still wanted him to wrap me up close in his arms. I couldn’t understand this contradiction I was feeling. I wanted him to mess me up but at the same time, I was scared.

After a while, he loosened his grip on me and looked me in the eyes. I could feel the heat rising. I wanted him to hold me. His eyes wanted me, he wanted me, but my heart was still confused whether this was infatuation or love, that made me want this man.

I had never felt this way before, and I always believed in one man for life like my father but if he wasn’t the one, then I would be heartbroken.

I broke our connection and ran towards the gate, where I saw my brother coming out of the truck. ‘what happened, I was honking so many times, were you deaf’

Ignoring my brother’s scolding I just sat inside with my face flushed pink.  I was still not able to get over his warmth, his eyes, his lips out of mind. I feel like I’m going crazy over him.
