Sarah Fenric's

The company called in again this time and gave another offer. The nights after that very meeting were the longest I’d had. I barely slept. Every sound felt loud, the baby’s small breaths, the city far below, the rustle of paper as I redrew the same corner a dozen times. I wanted the design to be perfect. Not for praise this time again . For proof that I could build a life out of ash.

The firm gave me a small team this time rather than just selling them the design: two junior designers who moved like they had nothing to lose and one tired carpenter who looked like he’d seen better days with them. We worked in a cramped room with a single lamp hanging from the top, the lights cuts through the dark in the room at evenings. I handed out tasks to my small team, corrected some lines and sketches. The building we were given, was an old hotel turned apartments, it had no sparkle left. The owner had stopped painting the façade ever since. Tenants left when leases ended. Even

Nina ( Sarah Fenric)'s Five years had passed now since I left everything behind. In Europe, I had rebuilt myself from ashes. Not as Nina, the broken woman that was destroyed but as Sarah Fenric, a name the world now spoke with respect. My designs had become whispers of luxury now, pieces that carried both beauty and power. And with every project completed, every deal signed, I grew more stronger. So strong enough to face the ghosts I left behind. In the morning an Invitation arrived, I almost ignored it. It was in a thick white envelope lay on my desk, the kind of paper that smelled of money and status. I slit it open with little thought, but the words inside I got to see made my breath catch. “You are cordially invited to the International Design & Architecture Gala. Celebrating the world’s leading visionaries in design and luxury development.” A smile crept across my lips, sharp and cold. This was no ordinary award ceremony, it was the global stage where the most powerful names

  • My Love; You Were Never Meant To Be A Substitute    Chapter 039

Nina (Now Sarah) POV The papers were now signed and my bags were packed. William’s voice cut through the silence,. “Everything’s ready,”. I held my baby tighter against my chest, his tiny breaths warming the hollow space just above my heart. The car outside honked once. My time was up. I turned back one last time, back to the man who had pulled me out of darkness, who had given me sight again, who had saved my son with his own blood. His eyes stayed steady, but I caught the flicker in them, the unspoken things he never let himself say. “Go on,” William murmured. “Build a new life. Somewhere safe. Somewhere strong. And when the time comes… you’ll know what to do.” The world tilted as I stepped toward the waiting car, my baby cradled close. My heart split in two, one part left behind, the other carried into an unknown future. *** Europe didn’t welcome me with open arms. I mean, It swallowed me whole. The air was colder. The streets louder. And every voice that brushed past me carr

  • My Love; You Were Never Meant To Be A Substitute    Chapter 038

Nina’s POV (My hardest decision, Becoming Sarah) See, I never thought life could be packed into papers, stamps, and whispered instructions, but that’s exactly what the next few days became. William moved with a calm certainty, as if he had already mapped every step long before I agreed. I watched him handle documents, make phone calls in low tones, and slide envelopes across polished hospital desks with the kind of authority no one questioned. He made It look easy. But It wasn’t. Look, for me, each decision felt like shedding another piece of who I had been. Nina Grayson, once a wife of a billionaire ,the woman who had survived cages, scars, and shadows, was dissolving into someone else. Into Sarah. “My sister’s name will protect you,” William told me one evening, sitting across from my bed as I cradled my son. His voice was steady, but his eyes… his eyes carried a weight I didn’t dare question. “Sarah was strong. She knew how to disappear. That’s what you and your baby nee
