Tyler's POV

Being the Alpha King is exhausting. I am expected to do the work of the King, the Queen, the Alpha, and the Luna.

Although I have the help from my mother and sister with the tasks of the Luna, I can't wait to find my mate.

I need my mate to help me with everything, including with things of a more personal nature. I want a family and a partner in life, not just a queen or a Luna. Someone who will call me out on my bullshit from time to time, ground me, when need be, and be my everything.

"What am I going to do, Axel? What will become of me if I don't find her?"

"You will be fine. Why are you stressing so much about it? You have done everything on your own for years. What about Emily?"

"Well, that's a name I have not heard in years. I haven't even heard from her family. Maybe I should send her a gift for her birthday, but what should I send her?"

Rummaging through all the mail on my desk sorting it into order of importance, I came across the invitation to the Moon Ball at the White Raven pack.

"There's your answer," Axel gruffly said before slinking to the back of my subconscious.

After agreeing with Axel, I responded to Alpha Haywood's invitation and began searching for gift ideas for Emily.

After searching for what seemed forever, I was starting to go crazy. I just couldn't choose the right gift. "Elaina!" I bellowed through the mind link. "Yes, brother?" she responded almost instantly.

"Please, I need your help," I almost begged. "I am in my office."

Moments later, Elaina strolled through the door giggling. "What has got you so wound up that you need my help?"

"Emily..." Before I had a chance to say anything else, she sat in the chair on the opposite side of my desk, turned my laptop around, and had already found some things that she would like.

Within seconds, she had different browsers open with gifts marked. "it's up to you now, brother," she got up, smiling before walking out of my office, leaving me sat there looking like an idiot.

I just couldn't decide, and as it was a special birthday, I decided to order everything that my sister had selected.

Three days later, I was suited and booted, and on my way to White Raven, hoping and praying that Emily liked the gifts I sent.

We ended up arriving after everyone else had entered the ballroom, and the doors were closed. My warriors and Beta entered first as I couldn't get control of Axel. "What is it, buddy, danger? rogues?"

He was running in circles and pacing, threatening to push forward. "Mate!" he growled. "Finally," I sighed and burst through the doors.

There, standing on her own near the back of the room was Emily. "MATE!" I roared. Shit, I scared here. Her scent of jasmine and vanilla was so intoxicating, I couldn't think straight. Moving slowly toward her, I touched her cheek, "Hello my love, you are mine, and I am never going to let you go." The sparks that erupted through my body just from touching her face felt amazing. I felt amazing until she fainted.
