Long live the queen

I have never, in all my years as a royal warrior, have I ever seen the place so busy. Dressmakers, caterers, visitors from neighbouring packs and clans.

"Whoa!" I exhaled a longer than intended breath. "Jen, how's Em feeling?" I shouted back to her.

"She's on edge, worried something is going to go wrong and there's nothing I can do to convince her that it will go swimmingly today." She sounded defeated.

"Don't worry about it babe. I've got this." Walking towards the palace, I opened the mind link to everyone I could. "Can all clan and pack head warriors meet me on the palace driveway. I have something to discuss with you." I immediately closed the link but not before I felt the confusion as to how I managed to do that without being a member of theirs, as well as not being of a high rank.

I headed through the forest heading towards the palace with Jen holding my hand. Hmmm, I never knew I could feel like this. If I had, I would've gone looking for my mate sooner.
