I brushed my fingertips over the name ‘Emma Ricci’ on the tombstone. The words ‘an amazing mother and human’ were written in capital letters below it. My mother. Even after all these years, I still miss her with all my heart.

I whispered, “Maa, I miss you,” and laid the flowers Anaya had picked this morning from the garden on the grave. I am sure that my mother is resting with angels.

I looked to my right and saw three more headstones. While searching for Scar, I learned more about my other half-siblings that he had killed.
