Chapter 47: Loud Labels

A Few Days Later

“Tesoro, we’ve got an invitation to a ball,” Alessandro tells Amber who is busy typing on her laptop. “When is it?” Amber asks him without taking her eyes off the screen. “On Saturday,” he says scanning the invite.

“We should pick Bee up, she would like to attend it,” Amber’s words make Alessandro wonder how he became lucky enough to have someone as considerate as her in his life. “Yeah, you’re right,” he says right before accepting the invite.

Amber walks out in a silver-colored low-cut dress that accentuates her curves. She looks at Alessandro’s gaze, and asks, “See something you like?” He nods before coming closer and kissing her as he says, “You look beautiful.”

He puts on a suit. A classic fit; white shirt with black coat and pants with a silver tie to match Amber’s attire. Amber’s eyes remain fixated on him before she says, “Mhm, I may be partial, but you will be the most handsome man in the hall tonight.”
