Chapter 10

Andrew’s Point of View

Andrew stared at the yellow cab as it drove away in the distance. Lost in thought, Andrew barely noticed when his friend Anthony tapped him on the shoulder. Startled, he turned to face him, his eyes still fixed on the spot where the cab had disappeared into the busy city streets.

“Come on man,” Anthony said with a smile. “The night is still young.”

Reluctantly, Andrew tore his gaze away from the street and followed Anthony back into the club. The loud and flashing lights seem to mock his sorrowful mood. As the night progressed and Anthony was dancing and drinking, Andrew couldn't stop thinking about Kathrine. The only thing keeping him at ease was the fact that he was going to see her again. Sooner than he would have thought.

Andrew wasn’t in the mood to continue sitting at his club. He flung himself out of his seat and walked over to Anthony. “Hey, man. Are you going to be alright going home by yourself?” He asked calmly.
