Chapter 32

Kathrine’s Point of View

Kathrine was awakened by a chilling gust of cold air that sent shivers down her spine. Her eyes felt heavy and groggy as she struggled to regain her senses. As her vision cleared, she realized with a sinking feeling that she was not in the comfort of her own bed. Blinking away the remnants of sleep, Kathrine’s eyes widened in alarm as she took in her surroundings. She found herself bound tightly to a chair, her wrists and ankles secured with thick ropes.

Panic started to kick in, her heart pounding in her chest as she tried to make sense of everything, “Hello! Anyone! Please help me!” Kathrine yelled for help and tried to break free from the ropes that were keeping her seated. “Anyone! Please! Help!” She continued.

The room was dimly lit, with only a faint glimmer of sunlight filtering through a small window. The rays of light illuminated a small patch of ground just before her feet, casting a small shadow on the cold, concrete floor. The rest of the room rema
