I wake up with a mild head ache. Sitting upright, the memories of last night came flooding back. I instinctively place my hands against my cheeks, failing to stop myself from blushing.

Then I silently, yet swiftly, made my way to the bathroom, to have a shower.

Fifteen minutes later, I find myself frowning down at my clothes which I had scattered across the bed. The clothes I had, weren't good enough. I had been doing my best to keep them intact to save money.

Yet, my good for nothing father, had deemed it fit to lavish all the money I had saved on gambling and alcohol. A frustrated sigh subconsciously escapes my lips, as I dump it back on the bed.

"What on earth will I wear?" I ask myself softly, my hands running against my face. After some seconds of contemplatio

Third Person Pov:'How did it get to this?' Hayden wondered to himself , with fingers on his nose and his eyes shut in exasperation. He releases a heavy sigh, lowering his hand as his eyes land on the sitting figure on the bed. River currently had her back to him, she is furious. "Look, I'm sorry okay. But you can't come with." He says, as calm as he can muster at the moment. He watches River's form stiffen. She gets to her feet then turns to him, subconsciously taking a step closer. "You're talking like this doesn't concern me too." She says, words firm, her voice trembling slightly at the end. "It doesn't," he says, locking eyes with her and she flinched slightly. An action which stung him, but he immediately brushes it off. "It is my business. She's my friend for God's sake. I'm the reason she's being held captive, so I ought to help!" River yells so many words at once, for the first time actually. The flame of determination, unmistakably burning bright in her eyes. Hayden is s

I was pacing round my room now, unable to shake off the restless feeling I had. I don't want to admit this, but I'm scared. Scared for Eva and her family, scared for Hayden even though I barely know him. Since when did he become so important to me? To be honest, I don't know. I guess, it just sort of grew: from admiration to concern. Yes, I'm concerned about him, because I know the lengths Arnold Knot can go to get what he wants. I suddenly have a feeling, like I'm not the only thing he wants... there's something more. I don't know, perhaps a hidden agenda? I shake my head, whatever this is, I know for a fact I'm connected to it all. He's not going to stop until he has me. Which makes me worried, what if tracking Loreen Murphy wasn't a good idea? I sigh, running my hands through my hair. I need to sleep. Who am I kidding? I need to see Hayden. I need to be sure he's safe.Or else, I won't be at ease. I'm tense now, more than before. My thoughts, taking a dark turn for the negat

The weekend passes by so fast, and surprisingly Hayden let's me go to work with him. Not after our chat though. After what he said that night, I couldn't shake off the strange feeling at the back of my mind. I already had someone in mind, she had been particularly weird. It was almost like as though her eyes had been set on me since the first they she walked into me. She pryed a lot, and her attitude gave me a weird feeling everytime she was near. It wasn't just any feeling... it was danger. My instincts always screamed run whenever I saw her, or she came close. You probably know who I'm talking about already. Yep, it's her: I suspect Loreen Murphy. Not just suspect, I strongly believe she is connected to Arnold Knot somehow. Especially after I had gotten stabbed at my own birthday event. Plus, I made sure to tell Hayden about this. He didn't seem shocked, it was like he had foreseen the entire thing. "You don't look surprised." I had said after observing his expression for a whil
