OLIVIA’S POV

Darkness.

I was running barefoot through the forest, branches clawing at my arms, thorns scraping against my ankles, but I didn’t stop. I couldn’t.

Somewhere ahead, a child was crying—shrill, panicked wails that echoed through the trees and pierced straight into my soul. My legs burned with exhaustion, but I pushed harder, desperate to reach that sound.

Through the thick fog and underbrush, I finally saw them—a shadowy figure disappearing between the trees, a tiny bundle cradled in their arms.

My child.

I don’t know how I knew, but I knew—that baby was mine. That cry, it tore me apart.

“Stop!” I screamed, my voice cracking as I stumbled after them. “Give me my baby!”

The figure moved faster, slipping between trees like a phantom. I chased blindly, tears streaming down my cheeks, ignoring the sharp branches slicing into my skin.

“Please!” I sobbed. “That’s my baby! Please—come back!”

They didn’t stop.

But I did.

Only for a second.

Because I saw them turn back, just slightl

OLIVIA’S POVI asked James to take away the kids and get the car started, I didn’t want my kids to witness another drama and James immediately understood. Seeing Dominic approach with Evelyn still at his side was like another slap across the face.No matter how much I reminded myself that I didn’t care, no matter how strong I’d tried to become, that image still twisted something deep inside me. Evelyn stood gracefully beside him, a picture-perfect Luna in everyone’s eyes. But I knew the truth—and I could feel the venom bubbling in my chest.Dominic’s towering form stepped into view, his eyes scanning the scene sharply. He stopped a few feet away, arms crossed, jaw clenched. His gaze darted between me and Grace. His voice, when he finally spoke, carried the cold command of the Alpha he’d always been.“What happened here?”Before I could even open my mouth, Grace jumped in like a starved vulture.“She attacked me, Dominic!” she shrieked, hands flying up in exaggerated horror. “This luna

  • My Mate Chose The Bitch Who Hurt Our Baby    Chapter 74 ANOTHER MISUNDERSTANDING

DOMINIC’S POVThere was a beat of silence before I spoke again, my voice dropping low. “I love Olivia. And I always have. I just didn’t know it until I lost her. I am truly regretful for leading you on too, I guess I was just looking for a replacement for Olivia without realizing that no one can ever replace her in my life.”Her face fell. She tried to hide it, but I saw the tremble in her lip, the way her throat bobbed when she swallowed. I almost felt sorry for her—almost.“She gave me twins,” I continued, unable to keep the pride and ache from my voice. “She gave me a family. And I left her when she needed me most. I’ll never forgive myself for that. But I will spend the rest of my life trying to make it right.”Evelyn was silent for a moment.I sat there, waiting for her reaction—half-braced for the inevitable protest, the tearful plea, or maybe even the storm of accusations I’d become used to over the years. But it didn’t come. When she finally spoke, her voice was soft, unexpect

  • My Mate Chose The Bitch Who Hurt Our Baby    Chapter 73 CLEARING THINGS

DOMINIC’S POVI ignored Evelyn’s endless questions the entire ride back. Her voice buzzed in my ears like a persistent mosquito, flitting from one meaningless topic to the next—trying too hard, too fast, to sound casual. But I knew her too well. She was trying to distract me.My mind kept going back to what I saw in the mall. The strange man she was with. The way their conversation had dropped into silence the moment I appeared. The look of guilt that flickered across her face before she masked it with surprise. And the way he disappeared like a ghost. She was hiding something.“Dominic, you barely shop,” she said, her tone forced, too cheery. “Were you buying something… special?”I didn’t even glance her way. My eyes stayed on the road, my grip tightening on the wheel. “Yes,” I answered curtly. “I came here to buy toys for the twins.”She fell silent for a second, and I could feel her disappointment without needing to look at her. She had expected a different answer. Maybe hoped that

  • My Mate Chose The Bitch Who Hurt Our Baby    Chapter 72 LAURA'S INNOCENCE

OLIVIA’S POVAs we walked through the narrow corridors of the dungeon, the silence around us seemed to mock me. Each step echoed with a weight that dug deeper into my chest. My fists clenched at my sides, nails biting into my palms. Rage twisted inside me like a storm, fierce and unrelenting. My mother—Laura—imprisoned in this stone box like a criminal. How dare they? How dare they keep her locked away like this? How could Dominic allow it?No—how could he be so blind, so willfully ignorant? He had always been quick to doubt the people who loved him and eager to trust those who stood to gain from his downfall. If Evelyn had wanted this outcome—and I was certain she did—it wouldn’t have taken much to manipulate him. Not him. Not the man who had once looked at me like I was his whole world, only to toss me aside like a discarded promise.“She’s not just another suspect,” I whispered under my breath. “She’s my mother. And they’re going to pay for this.”I felt James’s gaze shift toward m

  • My Mate Chose The Bitch Who Hurt Our Baby    Chapter 71 LAURA'S TRUTH

OLIVIA’S POVI went to the dungeon with James and the twins in tow. The moment we stepped into the corridor that led underground, an old sense of unease crept over me. No matter how many years had passed, the feeling of being locked up, the scent of stone and metal, and the taste of injustice still lingered in my bones.I didn’t trust the Blackwood Pack enough to leave Noah and Aria behind—not after everything they had endured. And especially not after Evelyn’s little garden stunt. That woman wore her cruelty like perfume—strong, suffocating, and impossible to ignore. I wasn’t afraid of her. Never was. But my children? They were innocent. And I refused to let them be used or harmed in the crossfire of a war they never signed up for.James had suggested staying behind to watch them while I went to see Mom, but I shook my head firmly. My children deserved to see the woman who raised me, the one person who had fought for us in silence while the rest of this pack either looked the other w

DOMINIC’S POVBy the time my mind finally cleared—after the run, after the burn of humiliation and the sting of self-loathing had dulled into something manageable—I buried myself back into work. Pack affairs had fallen behind, and I had no excuse left to hide behind. But just as I started reviewing patrol shifts and trade reports, a sharp knock broke the fragile silence. My mother entered like a storm cloud, her arms folded tightly across her chest, face set in that familiar disapproving mask. "Dominic," she said, "we need to talk."I didn’t look up right away. "What is it, Mother?"She closed the door behind her with unnecessary force and stalked forward. "Where were you last night?"I tilted my head and raised a brow. "Out.""Out where?"My jaw tensed. "Since when do you track my movements like a bloodhound? I’m Alpha, not a teenager sneaking out past curfew.""I’m asking because people are talking," she snapped. "The servants saw you leave, and you didn’t come back until morning. W
